It was the first day of summer break. No blaring alarms, no dreaded exams looming next door. However, the occuring threat of assasination on a certain teacher-- well, that was a different story. Class E was officially on summer break, but their ultimate assignment: Killing their teacher. Remained unfinished. With schools closed, it wasn't easy to make an attempt on their teacher's life without them being present. So, summer break would give them all the more time to figure out a way into killing their teacher. But for now, the students were permitted to enjoying their freedom. Most students had used this time to perfect their academic ability for future exams, while others had indulged in their hobbies and interests. Quite like Karma, who lazily laid in bed all day playing rpg games on his blue Ds. The boy had no parents to go on holiday with. They had left without him on a trip to India. There was no one in the house to entertain him. Though, it was nothing new, every other summer was like this.
Lonely.
The house stood silent, silent enough to hear the gentle breeze outside. Karma paused his game, while laying on his king-sized bed, staring outside through the window to look at the contrasted colours of pink and orange in the sky. He watched the sun cast it's benevolent rays on his bedroom floor and the redheaded boy. It's golden hues caressing his fair skin and crimson hair. He sighed groggily to himself out of bordem and pushes himself out of the bed to fetch some food in the kitchen, he thought of eating that left over pasta he cooked yesterday.
He sauntered to the kitchen, each step slow and unhurried, reaching the fridge, he grasped onto the handle and pulled it open. A soft white light spilled out, casting a cool glow on his skin. A rush of cool air hit him making his skin form goosebumps. His eyes scanned the fridge, in search for food. To his 'luck', the fridge was empty. Nothing but ice and water. He huffed in frustration.
'"Oh well, guess I'll have to go grocery shopping." He muttered. The boy closed the fridge and walked over to his parents room, taking the money they had left him for groceries and other expenses. He took his keys and left the house. The boy wore casual clothes. A black top underneath a purple cardigan with black trousers, outdoor wear perfectly suited for going outside for a short amount of time.
As he left his house, he walked on the street to look for his local shop. He noticed a freshly opened ramen shop across the road.
"Huh. That's new. I might just get that instead." He muttered to himself with a hint of curiosity in his voice. As he crossed the road, he smelt the sweet scent of rich, savory ramen and the crispy aroma of perfectly seasoned chicken. That intoxicating, mouthwatering scent was enough to stir up a little hunger in him. He entered the shop without moments hesitation.

/ づ♡Karma left the shop with a plastic bag in his hand in a happy mood as he was able to get hand of a delicious meal for dinner. He crossed the road and made his way back home, eager to enjoy the dinner he had just secured. However, he had spotted a white figure following him from the corner of his eye. He stopped to examine the white figure and to his surprise it appeared to be a white cat.
It meowed softly. He crouched down, "Oh? What do we have here?" he smiled. The small cat stares at him with its striking red eyes and tilted head.
"Well aren't you cute~? Where's your owner?" He looked at the kittens neck, there wasn't a collar. The cat had crawled towards him. "Ah, and you're not scared of me? Bold. I like that." He reaches his hand out to the cat, who sniffs it before nudging it with its head. "Friendly, too" he says.
He stares off, "You know, I've always had a thing for strays. Kinda reminds me of myself. No one to rely on but your self." He pauses to look at the cat who's nuzzling it's small nose on his palm, gently. "Though, you seem to be handling pretty it well." He finishes. The cat purrs, pressing closer to Karma's hands. Karma's eyes narrow slightly.
"Hmm.. You're not just any ordinary kitten are you?" The cat lifts it's head from the boy's palm and looks up at him. Karma's lips form a slight smirk.
"Most people wouldn't have noticed but I have a pretty good instinct for these things~." He leans closer to the kitten, his tone playful. Maybe the kitten was just like him? Devious and a troublemaker, not like any normal quiet cat that keeps to itself. The cat looks at him, it's expression inscrutable. Karma chuckles to himself and stands up straight, looking down at the cat who's still staring at him, intently.
"See ya around, little kitten." He turns to leave but the cat meows loudly. As a result, Karma turns his head and raises an eyebrow. "What? You wanna come with me?" The kitten walks over to Karma, brushing it's tail against his leg. Karma softens his eyes and smiles. "Alright, alright. You can tag along or whatever. Just know that I'm not really the type of guy to have pets over. I mean, what will my parent say?" He chuckles and picks up the kitten, who settles comfortably in his arms. "Eh, who cares what they'll say, there not home and you're cute so I can't possibly resist not taking you home~" He says nonchalantly. He makes his way home while holding you in his arms.
