Namjoon sat on the edge of his bed, the afternoon sun casting long shadows across the room. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, each one more confusing than the last. The lunch with Yoongi earlier had been pleasant, comforting even, but the realization that he was in pre-heat had thrown him off balance.

He could still recall the warmth in Yoongi's eyes as they talked, the way the alpha's presence seemed to calm his racing heart. Yoongi had always been a steady force in his life, especially after the tumultuous end to his marriage and his miscarriage. Namjoon sighed, running a hand through his hair. Was he ready to take this step? To trust Yoongi in such a vulnerable state?

He needed advice. Namjoon stood up and made his way to the living room, where his cousin Seokjin was lounging on the couch, flipping through a magazine.

"Hey, hyung," Namjoon greeted, trying to keep his voice steady.

Seokjin looked up, his expression immediately concerned. "Joonie, you look worried. What's on your mind?"

Namjoon sat down beside him, taking a deep breath. "It's about Yoongi-hyung. I'm in pre-heat, and he's offered to help me through it. But... I don't know if I should accept."

Seokjin's eyebrows shot up in surprise, but he quickly composed himself. "That's a big decision, Joonie. How do you feel about Yoongi?"

Namjoon hesitated, searching for the right words. "I care about him a lot. He's been there for me, especially after everything with his brother. I trust him, but I'm scared we are going too fast."

Seokjin nodded, his expression thoughtful. "It sounds like Yoongi cares about you too. If you trust him and feel safe with him, that's important. But it's okay to be scared. It's a vulnerable time for you."

Namjoon looked down at his hands, considering Seokjin's words. "So, you think I should go through with it?"

Seokjin smiled gently. "I think you should do what feels right for you. If being with Yoongi during your heat feels like the right choice, then trust your instincts. Just make sure to communicate with him. He seems like the kind of alpha who will respect your boundaries."

Namjoon felt a wave of relief wash over him. "Thanks, hyung. I needed to hear that."

Seokjin squeezed his shoulder. "Anytime, Joonie. You're not alone in this."

Feeling more confident, Namjoon returned to his room. A knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts. "Namjoon? Can I come in?" Yoongi's voice was gentle, almost hesitant.

"Yeah, hyung, come in," Namjoon replied, trying to keep his voice steady.

Yoongi entered, closing the door softly behind him. He approached Namjoon slowly, his eyes searching Namjoon's face for any signs of distress. "How are you feeling?"

Namjoon shrugged, not meeting Yoongi's gaze. "I've been better. Just... a lot on my mind."

Yoongi sat down beside him, the bed dipping slightly under his weight. "I can imagine," he said quietly. "If you need space, I'll understand. But if you want me to stay, I'll be here."

Namjoon finally looked up, meeting Yoongi's eyes. There was no pressure there, no expectation—just understanding and patience. It was enough to make his decision a little clearer. "Hyung, I... I think I want you to stay, just give me some times to think about it please" he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I'm scared."

Yoongi reached out, his hand covering Namjoon's. "It's okay to be scared, Joonie. This is a big step. But I promise, I won't let anything happen to you. Take all the time you need to think about it."
