Bird and Fish (Alec Oneshot)

In this one, I want to see how Alec interacts with one of Hashtag-Chan's crew members.

Alec enters Miss Scarlet's mansion. He is supposed to meet her at no later than 9:30. He has printed pictures in his jacket pockets ready to give her for money. He looks at his phone to check the time. The time is 8:55.

"Guess I came early," Alec tells himself. He turns to the left of him to see a shed of some sorts. He knew that that was where some of his colleagues kill their time. He also figured that killing was all they ever do. For some bloody money in their pockets. It made him sick to the stomach that people would be willing to harm others just so they can have some coins jingle in their pockets. It made him even sicker that he had to go through this ever since his older sister, Amarissa, was arrested for the Senator underpants situation as "Info-Chan".

Alec didn't really know what to do with his time. Since he was here, he decided to suck up all of his complaints and enter the shed. After all, he felt like he was no better than those deranged people.

He walks into the shed. Oddly, the shed was empty except for one person, who was wiping the counters. Alec remembered that Miss Scarlet told him that she hired a guy named Fish to take some practice as a bartender, since he wanted to start his own bar someday. Fish was a boy who looked his age with orange hair with black tips. Similar to Alec, he had one purple eye. Alec shuddered as he is unwillingly reminded about when he had his eye plucked out for a purple glass eye to solidify his allegiance to Miss Scarlet's crew. He sighs and figures that if he is going to kill time here, he is going to have to talk to Fish. Yeah, Fish would TOTALLY love to here you chatter about researched facts about giraffes. NOT.

"'Ay there mate, what can I get you?" Fish asks Alec with a welcoming smile. He had a fairly heavy Australian accent.

"Powerade," Alec tells the orange haired boy. "Grape."

"Okay!" Fish opens the refrigerator and grabs a grape Powerade. He slides it to Alec's direction. "I haven't seen you before. Are you new 'round here, mate?"

"No," Alec answers. "I've been here for a while."

"Ahh, okay," Fish smiles. "So what's your code name, mate?"

"Bird." Alec takes a sip of his Powerade.

"Ahh, you're Info-Chan's brother?"

Alec gets annoyed with Fish remark. "I don't want to talk about it, man."

"Oh, sorry about that," Fish attempts to find something else to talk about. However, Alec beats him to it.

"So what do you do, other than talk to people?" Alec asks Fish.

"Well, Miss Scarlet offered me to find out medicines to heal people. I've curating some stuff back at my place. Then I come back to the shed to trade with other people here to test it on other people. On the usual, they are Moon and Venom."

"Moon? You mean that freaky teal-hair girl that rambles about being the mother of this dumb thing named 'Little Moon'?" Alec let's out a 'heh.' "God knows what goes inside her head." (LUNAR AND LITTLE MOON SHOUT OUT RAHHH)

"Wait a minute, Bird, she makes good conversation," Fish says lightheartedly, nudging Alec. "And Venom is a great guy too."

"Yeah, yeah," Alec says back, contemplating if he should tell the truth of what those 'medicines' Fish was talking about were actually poisons. After all, there is no possible reason why Miss Scarlet would be crazy enough to lie to him any longer just for financial support, especially if it is going to put him into severe trouble. Being here as is is bad news, and he wanted to tell that to him as soon and subtly as possible.

"I'm not really comfortable with this place, Fish. That's all," Alec ultimately word vomits.

Fish makes a concerned face. "What do you mean, Bird? Miss Scarlet probably has good intentions. She wants to help. And if these medicines do work for our society, then we can possibly make our world a better place to live in."

"Do you think it's weird that we are all given purple glass eyes?" Alec asks, taking out his glass eye to show him.

"Not me," Fish answers "I was born with this one."

Alec checks his phone, and it was 9:25. It would be a good time to meet up with Miss Scarlet with what he found. He sighs.

"Fish, is it okay if we talk about this later?" Alec asks the orange haired guy.

"Sure, Bird," Fish answered. "I'll be here if you need me."

"Yeah, but what about outside the mansion?" Alec implored. "What is your real name?"

"What is yours?" Fish asks Alec.

"Alec. Alec Meyer. You?"

"...Roberu. Roberu Yukoku."

"Okay, see you around Fish," Alec waves towards Roberu as he leaves the shed.

"See ya 'round, Bird!" Roberu waves back.

Fun fact: All of the code names (Fish, Bird, Venom, Sting, Moon) are from actual code names of "the Rippers" from the webcomic "Namesake."
