The common room of Auradon Prep was shrouded in familiar darkness as the clock struck midnight. Red and Chloe sat together on one of the large sofas, their faces etched with worry. The recent events had shaken them. Mal of Auradon, Harry Hook, and Selene had disappeared without a trace, and the mystical light of the castle tower, which usually pierced through the darkness, had gone out.
“What do we do now?” Chloe asked, a tremor in her voice. “It feels like a part of Auradon is missing.”
Red nodded thoughtfully. “We need to find out what happened. Maybe the Fairy Godmother has an explanation.”
Aziz and Adriana, who had just entered the room, joined them. “Do you think the Fairy Godmother knows what’s going on?” Aziz asked skeptically.
Red took a deep breath. “We have no other choice. We have to ask her.”
The group made their way to the Fairy Godmother’s tower room, a quiet and magical place high up in the castle. The door was already open, and the Fairy Godmother was expecting them, as if they had announced their visit.
“Ah, I’ve been expecting you,” she said with a gentle smile. “I assume you’ve noticed that some of your friends are missing.”
“Yes,” Adriana said, worried. “Can you tell us what happened?”
The Fairy Godmother nodded and took out a magical crystal, in which light danced. “It’s a complex story. Mal, Harry, and Selene have disappeared because their parents – Maleficent, Hades, and Hook – were frozen in the past. As a result, they no longer exist in the present.”
“But how did this happen?” Aiden asked. “And what can we do to reverse it?”
The Fairy Godmother sighed. “It’s a consequence of an undone event. Uliana and her crew – consisting of Hook, Maleficent, Hades, and Morgie Le Fay – played a prank on Bridget. But Red and Chloe, you had to travel back in time and change everything. This led to a chain of events not occurring, including the prank. Since it didn’t happen, the timeline changed.”
“That sounds complicated,” Emily said. “But how can we fix it?”
“You must travel back in time and ensure that things happen as they should,” the Fairy Godmother explained. “It won’t be easy, but I trust you can do it.”
“We’re ready,” Red said determinedly. “What do we need to do?”
The Fairy Godmother handed them an old wand and a parchment with instructions. “You must cast the spell in the old clock tower. It will take you back in time.”
Under the cover of night, they made their way to the old clock tower, located on the school grounds. The wind whistled around the stone walls as they recited the final words of the spell. A bright light filled the room, and suddenly they felt as if they were being pulled through time.
They found themselves in a familiar yet unfamiliar Auradon Prep. Everything looked the same as before, but the atmosphere was different. It was the day Uliana and her crew were supposed to play the prank.
“We need to split up,” Red said decisively. “Chloe, Aziz, and I will deal with Uliana and her crew. Adriana, Aiden, and Emily, you keep watch from above and look out for any problems.”
Aziz nodded, glad to stay with Red. The group split up and got to work. Red and Aziz quickly found Uliana and her crew, observing them from a safe distance. They needed to find a way to stop the prank without drawing too much attention.
“That should do it,” Red said hopefully as they regrouped in the clock tower. “Now we just have to hope everything worked.”
They recited the return spell and were once again enveloped in bright light. When they opened their eyes, they were back in modern Auradon Prep. Everything seemed normal, and in the common room, Mal, Harry, and Selene were waiting for them – unharmed and completely unaware of what had happened.
“Everything’s back to normal,” Red said with relief. “We did it.”
The group hugged each other, relieved and happy with their success. The friendships they had forged were now stronger than ever, and they knew they could face any challenge together.
“To new adventures,” Chloe said with a smile, and the others agreed.
Aziz looked at Red, hiding his nervousness. “Red, I need to tell you something,” he began, his voice trembling slightly. “In all the chaos, I realized how important you are to me. I... I think I have feelings for you.”
Red looked up in surprise, her eyes wide. “Aziz, I... I don’t know what to say.”
Aziz took her hand and smiled. “You don’t have to say anything now. I just wanted you to know.”
The group was just beginning to celebrate their successful mission when the Fairy Godmother appeared again, this time with a relieved smile.
“I have good news,” she said. “Thanks to your efforts, not only are Mal, Harry, and Selene back, but their parents have also been freed. Everything in the timeline has been restored.”
Relief and joy spread throughout the room. Adriana, Chloe, Aiden, and Emily hugged each other, while Red and Aziz exchanged knowing smiles.
“That means our friends and their families are finally safe,” Adriana said happily.
“You’ve saved Auradon,” the Fairy Godmother added. “I’m proud of all of you.”
The friends breathed a sigh of relief, knowing they had accomplished something great together. The timeline was repaired, the parents freed, and Auradon’s future was secure.
“Now we can really toast to new adventures,” Chloe said, and the group laughed in agreement.
Aziz seized the moment and pulled Red aside. “Red, I wanted to talk again about what I said.”
Red smiled. “I’ve been thinking, Aziz, and I believe I feel the same way about you.”
Aziz’s eyes lit up. “Really?”
Red nodded. “Yes, really.”
They hugged while their friends continued to celebrate their success in the background. Auradon Prep was once again a safe place, and the adventures that lay ahead would be faced together.
