Ch 4

*a few days later*

Scrambling through my room I'm trying to get ready to go to Sunghoon's practice where I'm going to officially meet his friends. I rush to pull on some dark gray jeans and a black t shirt then I brush through my dark blue hair and brush my teeth before I get the text from Lionel saying he's here. Taking a deep breath I head out to Lionel's truck and get in the passenger seat where he gives me a kind smile. "Hi Parker. I'm proud of you for agreeing to come to the practice." I shrug looking out the window grumbling out a "I can't resist the stupid puppy dog look." Lionel gives me a little chuckle saying teasingly. "Who would've thought that Kang Parker would be so whipped and soft for someone." I give him a dirty look. "I am not whipped or soft!" Lionel gives me a knowing look as he parks. "Yet you willingly came out of your room and dressed up in something other than a hoodie or sweater and are going to socialize with people. Just because a boy asked you too." I give him a dirty look. "It's not just a boy it's my soulmate and don't act like you're not whipped as well you willingly moved out of Ellie noona's apartment because Jake wanted you closer to the dorm." He gives me a sheepish expression. "That's true. Now let's head upstairs." I grumble but get out of the truck and follow him upstairs to the practice room where he knocks on the door and waits to be told to come in before leading me inside. I spot Sunghoon and his members from last time along with the bright cheerful guy hanging off one of the members arms. There's also a new person with strawberry blonde hair and green eyes hanging onto the oldest member. Snapping out of it when Lionel rushes past me to get to Jake I shift a little uncomfortably as eyes go to me. "Um hi." The guy with strawberry blonde hair gives me a soft kind smile while the cheerful looking guy also gives me a soft gentle smile the strawberry blonde guy speaking up. "Hi I'm Killian and this is Colin." I bow politely mumbling a little "nice to meet you both" before I look over at Sunghoon who makes his way over to me I giving a small smile before turning back to the others we all chatting about different things until the leader calls for the guys to get in position. I make my way to the back couch where the three guys make room on the couch for me I smiling thankfully then turn my attention to the front to watch Sunghoon. Music starts and I immediately become mesmerized by Sunghoon's dancing and gracefulness. After a while of them dancing to different songs a break is called and I grab a bottle of water before walking over to Sunghoon handing it to him he thanking me appreciatively. As he's drinking the water I'm suddenly called over by Lionel and the others I making my way over curiously. "Hey we're going to have a night out at Colin's place after practice and was wondering if you wanted to come over." I blink looking over at Lionel who says reassuringly. "You can sleep over so you don't miss curfew." I nod and reluctantly agree. "Sure why not." They all smile giving cheerful "greats!" I smile just barely and head back over to Sunghoon who looks at me curiously. "What was that about?" I shrug saying simply. "They asked me to come over to talk and drink." Sunghoon looks surprised until he's called back to practice I heading to the couch again where I take a seat and continue to watch. Once practice ends I feel a little disappointed but don't say anything I instead heading over to Sunghoon and say softly. "I'll be going with the others and staying over with Lionel for the night but I'll text you." He nods and tells me to have fun I heading over to Lionel where Lionel helps Colin and Killian get to the back seats of the truck and I get in the passenger seat as we start heading through Seoul I looking curious when we park at a flower shop. I get out helping Killian out as well while Colin heads next door to the shop and opens it with a key before he motions us inside we following him. We all slip off our shoes before heading into the living room and take seats while Colin goes to get glasses of wine. He soon comes back carrying a tray of glasses he setting it down on the table in the middle of the room and we each grab a glass of wine taking a sip. "So Parker how did you and Lionel meet?" My lips purse a little bit but I decide to be honest. "He was assigned to do charity work at the homeless shelter I live in. Then when my book was stolen by a jerk he risked his safety to get it back for me." They all look at me in slight surprise. "So is that why Lionel said you were staying over and you mentioned a curfew?" I nod saying softly. "They lock up at ten." I then quickly change the subject. "So Colin you live beside a flower shop?" He smiles and nods looking proud. "Yep it's mine actually. My old one was burned down by Lionel's older brother." I frown remembering that. "Yeah that was why Lionel had to work at the shelter anyway right?" Colin nods and I look at Killian. "What about you?" He smiles saying simply. "I'm an idol like the others." I nod and we continue to chat and drink happily when I start feeling a little buzzed from the multiple glasses of wine. I rub my temples when I suddenly get this weird urge to be outside so I look up only to see the others are passed out. Stumbling to my feet I struggle but slip on my shoes then make my way out of the apartment and down the road I stumbling and swaying as I walk only to make my way over to a bridge I steadying myself on the railing and stare down at the water admiring how pretty it is. I stay there for quite a while until a car passes by I not really paying attention since I'm so focused on the water. That is until I hear footsteps and a familiar voice that sounds relieved. "Thank goodness you're okay." I lift my head up to see Sunghoon I a little curious and confused slurring out a "what're you doing here?" He gives me a sharp look that makes my stomach twist. "Parker you've been gone for hours. The others woke up and couldn't find you and your phone was on the couch. We were worried sick." I pout and mumble a little "m'sorry. I just wanted to be outside." He sighs a little shaking his head. "What am I going to do with you?" Before I can comment he's slipping off his jacket and is draping it over my shoulders the warmth suddenly hitting me along with the nice scent of Sunghoon's cologne. "Let's go get you back to Lionel and the others." I immediately pout and whine. "But I don't wanna go!" Sunghoon shakes his head a little sighing. "Parker come on you're cold and I don't want you to end up sick by staying out here all night." I give him a grumpy look but go to follow him only to stumble over my feet Sunghoon quickly catching me before I hit the ground. I look up at Sunghoon once he supports me his arms wrapped around me securely and I immediately get lost in his eyes. Before I can stop myself I lean up to kiss him only for my heart to shatter because he quickly pulls away from me so I can't kiss him. Feeling rejected and hurt I pull away from him completely and start stumbling down the road ignoring his worried calls. "Parker don't leave. At least let me help you back to Colin's." I snap a little aggressively slurring out a "no I'll do it myself." He sighs as I sway a little on my feet when I sway a little to far back and start falling backwards with a yelp closing my eyes only to slowly open them when I don't feel the hard ground. I look up only to scowl when I see Sunghoon supporting me I trying to squirm out of his grasp. "Let me go!" He shakes his head saying sharply. "No because you're drunk and can't hardly walk. I'm helping you to Colin's and you're going to rest." I grumble a little saying petulantly. "Why do you care?" He lets out a sigh of frustration. "Just because I wouldn't kiss you doesn't mean I don't care. You're drunk Parker I'm not gonna take advantage of you." I give him a slight look pouting. "I'm not that drunk." He raises an eyebrow at me. "You can't hardly walk you're wasted." I grumble a little and try to pull away from him when he suddenly scoops me up into his arms bridal style making me squeak in shock. "What are you doing?!" He says simply starting to walk down the street. "Making sure you get some rest." I grumble in annoyance when we finally reach Colin's apartment I seeing Lionel looking at me in amusement but I just glare at him. "Don't start." He holds his hands up in defense and Sunghoon carries me inside gently setting me on the couch where I reluctantly slip my shoes off and my eyes begin to droop I trying to fight it but I soon end up passing out.

(Sunghoon's Pov)

Watching Parker fall asleep I sigh shaking my head as Lionel heads over to me. "Where'd you find him?" I immediately frown remembering how close he was to the barrier. "He was down the street at the river. Apparently he wanted to be outside." Lionel frowns slightly observing me. "Alright what's wrong?" I run a hand through my hair before saying softly. "He tried to kiss me but I wouldn't let him because he's drunk and he got really upset. He kept saying I don't care about him." Lionel gives me a sympathetic look. "Like you said Sunghoon he's drunk. He probably won't remember it and if he does just explain to him your reasoning." I nod then say reluctantly. "I better head back to the dorm." Lionel nods in understanding and says reassuringly. "Go ahead I'll look after Parker." I nod thanking him then leave the apartment to the car outside and head back to the dorm where I head to my room and slowly fall asleep.
