Ethan
Ethan watched his mate in the side view mirror as she walked away, admiring her curves and the way her hips swayed back and forth with each step. He let out a big sigh and drove off.
"Stubborn woman," Ethan whispered, shaking his head and trying to keep his wolf from exploding.
He reached the gates of the pack property and waved at the guards as they opened up. His properties were on the modern side compared to a lot of the other packs in the area. They had several groups of townhomes surrounding the packhouse which sat at the center. Most pack members lived with their families in one of the townhomes.
The packhouse was comprised of apartments at the perimeter, with an open air swimming pool and gathering area at the center. the first floor of the apartments had a large kitchen and dining hall, set up to look more like a mid-end restaurant. The members of the pack that lived in the packhouse all took their meals in the dining hall.
Ethan's office was on the first floor and had large tinted glass walls. He tried to always make himself available to the rest of the pack. His home was on the very top floor of the apartments and in total, took the space of three units across.
He parked his car in the main garage and greeted every pack member he came across on the way to his office. When the door was closed and he was sure he was alone, he threw himself into his overstuffed guest chair, spreading his legs out in front of him and staring at the ceiling with his head laid back.
He sat there for a few minutes in silence trying to figure out what to do. The pack was missing their Luna and he had no idea how long he'd be able to keep himself, his wolf, and them from her.
A sudden knock at the door pulled Ethan out of is head. "Come in," he said in a low gruff voice.
A tall handsome blonde walked through the door. "You alright, man?" asked his beta.
"Yeah, I'm good." Ethan said running his hand through his long dark hair.
"There's a lot of gossip going around the pack... something about a girl." He said with an upward inflection, as if he were asking a question. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"Yeah, I found her."
"Her? As in our Luna?"
"Yeah and she's human. She has no idea about any of this."
"Who is she? Whats her name?" he asked. "The girls were saying they saw you having breakfast with her and that she was.."
"She was what?" he said, daring him to choose his words carefully.
Hunter chuckled nervously and took a seat across from Ethan. "Well.. they said she was bigger."
"Her name is Nicole and she is curvy and absolutely beatiful."
"Luna Nicole, huh? That has a nice ring to it. How'd you find her?"
"She's from Florida and she's a student on campus. Actually, she literally bumped into me and when she did, I was with Eliza."
"Yeeeesh, and how did that go?"
"Eliza belittled her, I wanted to wring her neck right then and there."
"What did you do?"
"Nothing then, I chased after Nikki to give her back her schedule. She dropped it when she bumped into us."
"Already have a nickname for her?" Hunter teased.
"That's what she wanted me to call her."
"So, does she know? Eliza, I mean?"
"I didn't tell her then, but after this morning, I'm sure she knows now."
"What are you going to do? She's obsessed with you dude."
"I don't have to do anything. I'm the Alpha of this pack and knows damn well we aren't mates. If she stopped worrying about climbing up the ranks, she'd find her mate."
"When you're right, you're right. Will you make an annoucement?"
"No, not yet. There are some things I have to take care of first."
"Alright boss. Is there anything you need me to do?"
"Get Isaiah, Kayla, and Allie in here please. I want to make sure we are all ok the same page.
"Sure thing."
His eyes glazed over while he called out to his mate, the betts female, and the gamma couple. After a few minutes of waiting the girls burst through the door.
"Is it true?!" Screamed Kayla
"Please tell me the rumors are true!" added Allie.
"You two are something else," said Ethan rolling his eyes at the giddy she wolves. "Yes, it's true. I've finally found her."
The girls screamed in unison, excited that their alpha has finally found her Luna. The pack could be complete.
"When do we get to meet her? Will there be a ceremony?"
"That's why I had Hunter call everyone in here."
Isaiah, the gamma of the pack finally spoke up. "What's going on Alpha?"
Ethan lowered his head in acknowledgment of Isaiah. "Well, she is human and has no idea that werewolves exists, much less that we are mates."
"Oh," said Kayla, concern written all over her face. "Is it possible for a human to be a Luna?"
Allie elbowed her in the side and shushed her.
"Many wolves are given human mates. I'm not an exception. Regardless," he said with a tinge of annoyance, "she's still your Luna and will be respected."
"Yes, Alpha." Said Kayla, bowing her head.
"In the meantime, if you hear any rumors, squash them. I'll address the pack when I'm ready to do so.
"What about Eliza?" Asked Isaiah.
"Don't worry about Eliza. I'll handle her myself."
