Jinwoo stepped out of Kuoh Academy's gates, his commanding presence turning heads immediately. The late afternoon sunlight bathed the group, highlighting the surreal picture they painted. Jinwoo walked with calm authority, his hands casually in his pockets, while Esil, Raynare, Kalawarner, and Mittelt followed behind him, each with an aura that spoke of confidence and danger.
Whispers buzzed among the students lingering on campus, their eyes fixated on the unusual entourage. Some of the female students exchanged excited murmurs, captivated by Jinwoo's striking appearance. His chiseled features, sharp eyes, and composed demeanor made him look like someone pulled straight out of a fantasy novel. The male students, on the other hand, glared enviously, their gazes darting between Jinwoo and the trio of women walking beside him, each of them stunningly beautiful in their own unique way.
"They're not wearing uniforms. Are they new transfer students?" one girl speculated.
"Doubt it. Who walks like they own the place on their first day?" another replied.
Jinwoo ignored the growing attention, his expression impassive.
When they were a comfortable distance away from the campus and the curious gazes of the students had faded, Esil broke the silence. Her crimson eyes reflected curiosity and faint unease as she walked alongside Jinwoo.
"Those people back there," she began, her voice hesitant yet firm. "They had a similar energy to the demons I'm familiar with. It felt...demonic. What exactly are they?"
Jinwoo glanced at her, his gaze unreadable. He had expected the question sooner or later. Esil had been thrown into a world far removed from her own, and her sharp instincts wouldn't let her overlook the peculiarities surrounding her. Before he could respond, Raynare spoke up, her tone carrying a hint of amusement.
"You're not wrong," Raynare said, folding her arms as she walked. "Those people you saw are devils."
Esil blinked, her expression a mixture of intrigue and confusion. "Devils?"
"Exactly," Kalawarner interjected, her voice smooth and confident. "Devils, angels, and fallen angels like us are all part of this world's supernatural hierarchy."
Esil turned to Jinwoo, seeking reassurance, and his simple gesture was enough to put her slightly at ease. Jinwoo gave Esil a small nod of confirmation, allowing the fallen angels to handle the explanation.
"Seems there are some things she needs to be informed on," Kalawarner continued, a faint smirk on her lips.
As they continued down the busy street, the fallen angels took turns explaining the intricacies of the supernatural world. They spoke of the Great War that had once raged between angels, devils, fallen angels, and even humans,a conflict that had shaped the factions as they were now. They detailed the existence of sacred gears, the significance of high-class devils, the heavenly dragons, and the delicate balance maintained between the three factions in modern times.
