Kyle West always felt like he was caught between two worlds. On one side, he was the talented football player, determined to make a name for himself at Clemson University. On the other, he was the foster kid who had finally found a real family with the Mints. The Mints had adopted Kyle when he was eleven. Kyle's sister, Sarah Mint, had always been there for Kyle, treating him like her own brother. Tyler Red was Kyle's best friend even since fifth grade when the Mints first adopted him.

Charlie Prince was also a freshman at Clemson, though he wasn't an athlete. Instead, Charlie was known for his incredible artistic talent and his openness about being gay. His art was displayed in the student gallery, and his vibrant personality made him a favorite among the art students. His best friend, James Butter, was a laid-back guy with a sharp wit who was always ready to support Charlie through thick and thin.

Growing up in the foster care system had taught Kyle resilience, but it was the Mint family who had shown him what true family meant. When Kyle had been adopted, Tyler became more like a brother than just a friend. Over time, Kyle had watched as Tyler and Sarah grew closer, their bond evolving into something more romantic.

Now, as freshmen at Clemson University, Kyle and Tyler were navigating the college life together. Kyle was determined to prove himself on the football field, while Tyler, who also played football, was more interested in just playing and less in the spotlight.

Meanwhile, Charlie and James were diving into their first year at Clemson with equal enthusiasm. The two had been best friends since high school and had always dreamed of attending the same university.
