"We are going to use warm colours for the living room, creating a calming ambiance. As for the balcony, we'll install reeded glass to provide privacy while allowing natural light to filter through. The fabric samples for the cushions are already laid out; feel free to inspect them. If you have any doubts or would like changes, I'm more than willing to accommodate," I concluded the presentation with a smile. Judging by their expressions, they seemed pleased.

"I liked it. You explained everything in detail, and I doubt there will be any confusion," Mr. Goenka said, satisfaction evident in his tone. Mr. Goenka, a highly influential figure and an essential client of our company, was in his early 50s yet maintained a commanding presence."

"Thank you, Mr. Goenka. I'm glad you liked it," I replied with a nod.

However, Mrs. Goenka's stern voice interrupted our positive moment
"Okay, everything is fine so far but I'm not gonna tolerate any recklessness in this project, am I clear with that?" For a second I felt like giving her smack on her head for questioning our potentiality when we are providing the best quality with respecting their suggestions and countless changes but I can't deal with the chaos she is going to make after that, at least not today and I took a deep breath; I smiled tightly.

"I want each and everything perfect and in the same way I have mentioned." She continued with her non-stop rants with such an Directory-bitch attitude like we all are her servants. She was in her mid-40s with a look that was hard to describe. I often wondered how her husband managed to tolerate her. I must admit, she maintained her body with great care.

Standing up, she looked at me, waiting to get a positive answer in return when I didn't react to her rants. Of course, why would I react when she's been repeating the same complaints since day one? I am tired of her tantrums which are more frequent than a child's. She's definitely bratty!

Suppressing my annoyance I assured her with my sweet and confident tone, making sure my irritation didn't show. "We'll strive for perfection, Ma'am. Your dream house will reflect the atmosphere you desire; we assure you about that." Otherwise instead of getting promoted, I will be demoted from my job permanently for mishandling such an influential and important client.

"You better be," she retorted, clicking in her 5 inch high heels and leaving without waiting for her husband. Her arrogance grated on my nerves; having money does not give you the right to be impolite with others.

Mr. Goenka tried to ease the tension. "Don't worry, Ms. Mehra. She's a bit strict about her choices. I trust your team won't disappoint us." Internally scoffing at his understatement 'a bit', I managed a smile and nodded. At least he knows how to treat others with respect.

As he exited, followed by the other members of my team, I let out a long sigh and took a swig of water from a nearby glass. Thoughts of the work we needed to accomplish in the coming week, with countless changes to prove ourselves without tarnishing the company's reputation, played back in my mind. It had been a hectic week for all of us, but finally, our presentation was approved, and we could start our work.
