cody watches the match. cheering his friends on. his sister heather beside her cheering her boyfriend on. everyone was cheering and yelling around the basketball court. cody jumps everytime his friends scored a point for their team. it was amazing yet he couldn't help but feel like something is off.

heather kept yelling for alejandro, yelling louder everytime alejandro lost a point. that's how they are. cody couldn't help but laugh at both of them.

"OH COME ON DO BETTER AL!" heather yells

"DON'T CALL ME AL MI AMOR!" alejandro cries out as he pointed at her making her giggle evily.

cody being the curious kid he is, looked around for someone but he doesn't know who he was looking for. he kept looking around, looking around for someone to look, he doesn't know who he is looking for.

heather notices cody's anxious actions, she was confused on what he was doing but she  managed to let our a soft smile and put her hand on his shoulder only for cody to yelp and looked up at her.

"is everything alright codester? you seem stressed out." heather said with a clear concern in her tone.

cody nodded his head and let out a weak smile that showed his gapped teeth managing to make heather believe him.

"if anything is bothering you please tell me cody. you promised to tell me if you're feeling slightly down." heather said akd reminded cody of their promise to reach out to eachother when ghe other needed help from another.

"i know, i still remember it don't worry heather. i promise you i'm fine." cody reassured her willingly

both heather and cody are like siblings, god it's so embarrassing to admit but cody knows how heather is the only one who he could really trust. she never told anyone his problems, his gossips and more. cody couldn't help but feel flattered by the fact that heather whom people know as a mean girl is nice to a geek like him. he'd forever thank god for giving him the friendship he has with her and wished it will never end.

cody continued to look for someone. he doesn't know why he's doing it but he feels like he has to. he needed to. cody's beautiful blue teal eyes landed on a tall and slim figure. cody couldn't help but smile as he finally found the person he was looking for.

oh.

nevermind.

it wasn't him.

the tall and slim boy cody saw was mal.

the tanned skin boy was smiling for ear to ear as he sees cody who was looking at him and he couldn't help but wonder if cody was thinking of him. why wouldn't he be thinking of him? mal is going to be his future lover anyways so why wouldn't cody be thinking of him.

mal's hands were in his pockets as his legs starts to walk faster towards the direction cody was. as cody watch, heather notices. her smile turned into a frown as she looks down at cody whom was looking at mal. heather could feel her hearthbeat stop when she saw that instead of the smile of happiness that she usually see when cody sees mal but it was him frowning.

as if cody didn't want mal here.

"cody..! how are you bud?"

mal finally approached, heather could see cody faking his sweet angelic smile to prevent mal from gainibg suspiciouns.

"i'm fine, just watching the basketball game where alejandro is playing." cody replies

"ah, it seems a bit boring.. don't you think so?"
