"Parting with Elisa was the hardest thing I've done in my whole life. I honestly never cared much about parting with our illegitimate child as much as Elisa was. Father, please, I don't want to leave" -

"Not at all, my son. You've reached your thirties, and need a young bride and children as soon as possible. Your sister, Charlotte, may come up with a few suggestions. You know that your sister in law faced a miscarriage the previous year." Frederick William III exclaimed, interrupting his second son.

That's until a royal guard approached Frederick William III.

"Your majesty, your son in law, Emperor Nicholas I of Russia and your daughter, Empress Alexandra Feodernova, along with their family, have arrived."

"Splendid. Tell the maids to prepare everything." Frederick William III said.

Wilhelm scoffed. Charlotte has already chosen a bride for Wilhelm, her older brother, who's still unaware about it.

"Greetings father." Nicholas says.
"Greetings father!" Charlotte exclaims as she embraced her father.

"And where are my grandchildren??" Frederick William III exclaimed.

"We're here grandfather!!" Alexander exclaimed.

Frederick William III got little Konstantin, who still was about two.

"And, father, I've brought my older sister, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna of Saxe Weimar Eisenach, and her younger daughter...the same reason as last time." Nicholas said.

"My sister wants her daughter, Augusta to get married to Wilhelm, and she's at a marriageable age. Augusta, is currently 18... Charlotte said you were looking for bride's for Wilhelm to replace Elisa Radzwitt." Nicholas replied.

Wilhelm froze with distress.

"That's amazing, oh, how lucky! Well, then... I think Augusta shall be engaged to Wilhelm, I mean, she's Weimar's favorite and came from a splendid upbringing! Don't you agree to that, Grand Duchess Maria and Grand Duke Charles Frederick?" Frederick William III asked.

"Oh...this can't possibly be happening....She has an excellent personality, but doesn't seem that nice in nature...." Wilhelm thought, hopelessly.

"Easy for you to say...!" Wilhelm thought.

"We're actually staying here for a few days if you don't mind, your majesty, if you don't mind!" Maria Pavlovna asked.

"No problem, I'd like my son to draw himself closer his to be wife, isn't it Wilhelm?" Frederick William III said, getting stern at Wilhelm, who timidly agreed.

While the food was being prepared, Wilhelm went to Charlotte.

"Your Niece?! Seriously Charlotte!? She's not only a niece, but a direct niece, and for our family a grandniece!....this is disgusting -"

"Elisa was a niece too! By the ways, you know that Charles married Augusta's elder sister." Charlotte snapped, interrupting Wilhelm.

"This is unbelievable!" Wilhelm thought.

" Well... would've it not been better if there's a little age consideration? " Wilhelm asked, grumpily.

" Not at all! Father's word is his last word. You're marrying Augusta! " Charlotte hummed.

Wilhelm fumed, and shrugged Charlotte, who didn't mind bothering.

After lunch, everyone was in the palace garden, which was spacious.

At the same time, Elisa knew about Wilhelm's engagement, and crumpled. She's already visited Wilhelm for the last time..and now she finds out he's marrying his brother in law's niece, who could possibly be his paternal third cousin too.

" That's it mother! I can't! I want to visit Wilhelm! " Elisa cried.

" Elisa, I know it's hard, but, you've got to get over this! Wilhelm will have a family on his own, and you'd be much more hated if you try to ruin his marriage. " Princess Louise of Prussia, Elisa's mother says.

" So you're not taking my side?! " Elisa screeched.

" Don't stress yourself my dear! And no, it's - it's just fate.... I'm sorry Elisa! "

Elisa cried uncontrollably. Wilhelm would probably forget her by marriage, but that never came to her mind, after they had an illegitimate child, impossible for her at least. However, Wilhelm's not going to be the same...for long.

Wilhelm was cross, as she walked to the library, just to find Augusta playing the piano over there. He was boiling with anger but refused himself to disturb Augusta, for the melody was very engaging.

" Looks like you're here! " Augusta exclaimed. Do you think I should play Mozart or Beethoven's- "

" Shut up! I don't think you understand, but because of you, I had to leave Elisa. For you, Marie Louise Augusta Catherina! " Wilhelm yelled.

Augusta was firstly shocked, and glared at Wilhelm with arrogance and insolence. Despite this, she somehow managed a calm tune in the piano. Her sister, Marie, and Wilhelm's brother, Charles enter the library.

" Now, what's the tension? " Charles asked.

" Shut up and leave! " Wilhelm snapped.

" Gosh..." Marie muttered.

" Stop whining, Wilhelm! You have to run your soul elsewhere, except Elisa, and move on! " Charlotte snapped.

" Like it really left me to wonder. Who is Elisa? A descendant of Sophia Dorothea of Hanover like me? " Augusta asked.

" Yeah, but she's really none of your business cause her paternal family has Polish nobility, and royalty I guess? " Charlotte said.

" That's more like it. People should slide away from the impoverished as royals! " Augusta exclaimed.

" Augusta! Don't you dare be haughty enough to call Elisa impoverished, she's at decent terms unlike you! " Wilhelm roared.

" Shut up, Wilhelm! This instant. You know that it's to separate you and Elisa so stop chirping and get used to it! " Charlotte roared back.

Wilhelm too, was tired of the argument. He wondered what life would really be like with someone like Augusta.

" I can't....I'd visit Wilhelm no matter what it takes! He's mine....he may not know about our daughter but he's still mine. Mine! Mine! Mine, forever mine! " Elisa thought with rage.

Elisa yet, has a very, very sinister intention, and out of love she could hardly care care about royal protocols, but fear was holding her back. She was mentally unstable to crash his wedding.

It was soon the wedding day.

Wilhelm: This is making me so nervous.

Crown Prince Frederick William: Oh, you don't fret, Augusta will make a good wife for you, and you'll probably have successors within no time....!

Wilhelm: I guess.............?

The ceremony continued, and he saw Grand Duke Charles Frederick walk his ' annoying ' daughter down the aisle, as she shot Wilhelm a sly grin to a stern expression, which made Wilhelm exasperated and fume with her sarcasm and disobedient and vile expressions towards him, who was too much her senior.

After saying the vows, everyone chattered. Wilhelm went towards Augusta as if he was going to slap her across the face as Augusta stared at him with utter slyness and disobedience.

Wilhelm: *snaps* I don't think you realize, but I'm not interested in your intimate attitude. Why'd you even do that in public?!

Augusta: *snaps back* Even if everyone saw it, would they care?! Elisa isn't here! And, that's because I'm currently your legal wife!

Wilhelm: Oh, Augusta! It looks like you're going to get in my nerves!

Augusta: Alright, we'll come to see!

By the end of the ceremony, the held hands like a couple intensely in love, even when they weren't. Unless, it was only Augusta, who remained indirectly smitten, but neglected, by someone who she suddenly started to develop feelings for, despite their unpredictable age difference. She'd wish Wilhelm would understand someday.
