things i don't get

#9 - pencils with an eraser at the end

i'm confronting this issue 🫡

like my dad said before he went to get the milk and never came back, "when there's no more, there's no more." same for these temporary erasers on the back, there's no magic refill uno?

after they're gone, they're gone, and you're stuck with a stick with a piece of led(?) in it that pains my middle finger's side. not to mention, the callus that developed on the side of my middle finger is still there because of the constant paining, since you go to school for 12-13 years holding this piece of lame ahh wood.

and if you mistake the piece of metal for an eraser instead and try to rub something out with the metal... magic grey lines appear that dont go away. they're still haunting me from when i was a youngin, i see them in my nightmares (real 💯!!)

i also know that if you rubbed a bit too hard it would rip. your precious project you worked on needs to be redone, or your math sheet needs a new printout now.

some pencils dont even sharpen because the lead breaks. most of the time it's just rounded and dull (like some people) and looks shitty on paper. if you do manage to get it sharpened though, it aint gonna be lasting long. why do we need to bring a tool around tho just so we can write?

emptying those mfs sometimes hurt, the shavings sometimes give you a splinter

i speak from experience when i say, no more of these. it's time we go to mechanical pencils with a separate eraser.
