"hey how did it go?" my brother came rushing to the door as he heard it slam.
i was soaked from a combination of rain from walking home and the tears that poured from my eyes the whole way.
i stood there as fin jogged over to me and wrapped his arms around me like an embrace of safety.
the tears continued to stream as the words that Callys mom yelled at me still stung my heart.
i could hear her screaming at her how i was a disgusting human being which broke my heart, i felt guilty for ever letting cally into my life because i had ruined her life.
"her mom hates me and so does her dad, i'm never gonna see her again fin" i sobbed and dropped to my knees.
we sat on the floor for half an hour and spoke about everything that had happened.
it wasn't a secret that i was in love with Cally because everyone knew it especially after i had told mary which i was beyond caring about.
"if she truly loves you billie she will come back to you regardless of what anyone else says" he reassured.
he was right. finneas was always right about everything i spoke to him about. i messed with my half of the lego necklace i bought for us both while the remaining thoughts of cally lingered in my mind.
"do you wanna go and record some stuff? maybe write some new lyrics?" he suggested as he helped me up off of the floor.
"i think thats the only thing i can do to help me not think about everything" i mumbled sadly and followed him to his room as he slung an arm over my shoulder.

"i think we've finished everything we've written so far billie that was an amazing session" he turned around with a smile in his chair and took off his headphones.
i gave him a toothy grin and closed my notebook, we sat in silence for a moment just taking in the peace we had after hearing the same tracks over and over again.
"i wanna release it." i blurted out looking at finneas with hope he agrees.
he looked a little take aback by my words but soon gave me a smile.
"lets do it then..." he turned around and bounced every track into an mp3 file before uploading them all to spotify.
