Chapter 15: Acquaintances

HOOK'S POV:

We continued with detention on the day of Castlecoming. Hades and Maleficent were fine. I was fine too but Uli, not so much.

She was in the corner, arms crossed, entirely pissed off by the thought of not being able to go to Castlecoming tonight.

"Hook." She called me.

"Yeah?" I asked, looking back to her.

"You talked to Haley right?" She asked me and my eyebrows furrowed

"We established this for 15 minutes yesterday but yes."

"Then.. she trusts you?" She looked up with me with a smirk. I sighed rolling my eyes, i know what that smirk meant.

"Uli, no." I said.

"What??"

"We're not pranking her." I just said as I felt Maley and Hades's eyes on us.

"Why not?! Its the perfect opportunity."

"She's already gotten us detention for the rest of the school year, what makes you think she can't get us expelled?" I argued.

"Hook, she doesn't have that big of an upper hand!"

"What if she does!?" I fought back. "You know Uli, you tend to forget of how you're not the only person that's doing this. You're dragging us too." I simply said as Principal Merlin walked in and I saw Maley and Hades a bit stunned by my sudden reply.

HALEY'S POV:

I was in Bridget's room with Ella and Bridget. I figured since I couldn't talk to Chloe and Red, I'll talk to their moms.

Ella and I were on Bridget's bed just minding our own business while Bridget is baking some treats.

"So, Haley." Bridget started. I looked up to her for her to continue. "A little birdie told me that you and Hook have been hanging out." She smirked and my eyebrows furrowed.

"What? Who told you that??" I asked and Ella scoffed beside me.

"Oh please. Basically everyone in the whole school knows now." Ella explained. "Lots of people saw you guys in the library together. Words gets out."

"Oh, that library chat? He was just asking me about my book. People do that you know. So, don't get the wrong idea. Hook and I aren't even friends. Acquaintances." I explained but Ella rolled her eyes and Bridget chuckled as she went over to us.

"You don't get it do you?" Ella started and I rose an eyebrow, confused.

"Get what?" I asked. Both Bridget and Ella chuckled as they sat closer to me.

"Villain kids like Hook, they don't go to the library, Haley. They just wont." Ella explained and Bridget nodded.

"Well, not all villains kids of course. Only Uli's group. I've never seen even one of them at least went close to the library." Bridget explained and my eyebrows drew together.

"But Maleficent, Hades and Morgie did. They went in the same day Hook and I were talking." I said and they just shook their heads.

"They were probably just searching for Hook. They usually hang out at the Black Lagoon on Saturdays. But when they realised he wasn't there, they probably checked the whole school." Ella explained.

"I bet the checked the library last." Bridget said as they both chuckled.

"You guys dunno what you're talking about. Hook was just asking me about my book. Honest." I said to them but they just smiled at me.
