I sit up from my bed and rush down the stairs into the kitchen.
"Was the party fun last night?" she says handing me a plate with my food on it.
"Yea it was fun."
"Did you meet any new friends?" she says wiggling her eyebrows
"Mom, I don't really make friends anymore, I only have Jo-." I was cut off by Phil
"She was with a boy last night!" he yells interrupting me
"And it wasn't Jobe" he blurts out again
"I'm 20 I can be with a guy if I want to." I snap back at him
"And she kissed him."
"Okay it was just a new year's kiss it meant nothing." I say
My mom sits there wiggling her eyebrows once again.
"Did you guys..." she says
"Ew mom no I'm eating!"
She laughs a little. But my dad wasn't very happy about what Phil was saying. He sat there and glared at me.
"So, who is this boy"
"He's just a friend" I say
"Where did you meet him"
"I met him at the party"
"What's his name?"
"Why does it matter that much to you?" I snapped back realizing that was probably not a good idea.
But surprisingly instead he looked back down at his phone and started eating again.
My dad has always been so overprotective it's really annoying. He doesn't want me getting pregnant, which I understand or having any sort of boyfriend, which I think is very annoying. He acts like I'm still a child, but he doesn't treat Phil the same he lets him do whatever he wants whenever he wants. And I can't just move out even though I'm 20 I honestly don't have the time or money to even try.
Time Skip
I am now finished eating and I am getting ready to go to the beach with Eliana.
"Heyy" she says as she opens my door
"Hii" I reply back to her
"Did you get home safe last night? I'm sorry I ran off."
"No no it's totally fine. I ran into Jude and hung out with him." I say smiling
"What are you so smiley about" she says
"Oh nothing." I say still smiling
"Spill it." she says
"Okay so first he came up to me and he was like "What's a pretty girl like you sitting all alone" and obviously I explained and then he asked me to dance. I got up and said yes and then we danced until the countdown started and then we kissed." I say squealing
"Oh, my goodness" Eliana says smiling
"Wait wait there's more."
Eliana drops her jaw
"Then he asked me to come and watch a movie with him in his room once everyone left and we cuddled and made out and then went to sleep!" I say smiling once more
"Oh my god he definitely likes you" she says
"I hope so." I say turning back to the mirror to finish my makeup
Time Skip
We arrive at the beach with our things. We both lay down our towels and set our things down before we go into the water.
"Wait!" Eliana says
"What?"
"We need to take pictures."
"Omg yes we do." I say reaching for my phone to pull up my camera

"Posted, now we can go in the water" I say setting my phone down
"Thank god I'm hot asf" she says, fanning herself with her hand.
We both head straight to the water and jump in splashing water all over each other.
Mini Time skip
I go out of the water leaving Eliana behind to go and tan. I put tanning lotion on my legs, arms and torso not being able to reach my back but that's okay.
I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to a tall man, maybe about 6'2 with curly hair and bright blue eyes.
"May I get your number." he asks with his phone in his hand
"Yeah sure." I reply taking his phone from his hand
"Thank you" the man says walking away back to his friends
