Wash away your worries

I don't know how long we've been on this boat, everyone's asleep except me which gives me time to plan what we're going to do once we make it to our destination.

I was going to go check to see if anyone is outside when I
felt a hand grab mine. It was Ben "Where are you going ?"

" Just checking up you know"

"No." He mumbled.

"Ben seriously let me go I'm just going to check and come right back okay"

Ben didn't reply, he just kept staring at me until he finally spoke up.

"Fine but you come right back" then he closed his eyes and went to sleep.

I walked to the door and slightly cracked it, only to see the dark sky filled with storm clouds,the cry of seagulls and containers filled with dinosaurs. "nothing out of the ordinary."

I walked back to my spot laying down next to Ben. No one was awake at the time so I decided to stay awake to watch.

"Da dun dun da dun dun da...." Oh my God I'm so bored that I'm humming out loud. ... No one's awake....great. I start taking deep breaths to try and fall asleep, if we get caught oh well I'm tired.

Suddenly I feel an arm wrap around my waist and pull me backwards until my back hits
the body that belongs to the arm.

"Darius for the sake of my sanity please be quiet and go back to sleep."

Was I talking out loud? When did I start doing that? " Uum Ben, how long have I been talking out loud for?"

" Long enough to wake me up"

" sorry I didn't mean to, it's just that I can't fall asleep and I'm worried that if I do we're gonna get
Caught."

"Darius Darius Darius."

Ben pulled me closer to his chest, wrapped his arm around my waist and sighed.
"Darius, it's okay if you can't fall asleep. Just rest your eyes if you can't sleep."

I turn my head to look over at Ben behind my shoulder. I take in how he looks. Eyes closed, face relaxed and his hair is all over the place. I noticed he's using his hoodie as a pillow. I turn my head back and lay my head on top of my arm. I took a deep breath and let myself fall asleep in Ben's hold.

Soon my eyelids start falling and darkness takes over my consciousness.

"Darius....Daarriiuusss.... DARIUS WAKE UP!" "W...What? What's going on?"

I open my eyes to see the container is not dark anymore meaning it's day time. Also meaning that... everyone is awake and.... everyone saw me sleeping in Ben's hold....

My eyes widened in realization and I quickly realized that Ben's arm is still around my waist. I stood up and moved myself away and as quick as I stood up I quickly went back down from dizziness.

I noticed everyone staring at me and Ben, Yaz however just looked at me with a giant
smirk on her face.

" Nothing happened!"

" We never said anything are you trying to imply that you did something with Ben Darius"

I felt my cheeks turn red as I looked at Yaz. She has something up her sleeve and I don't think I'll like it.

I look over at Ben to see him staring right back at me. With those blue eyes god I could stare at them for hours.... WHAT! What am I thinking so stupid of me.

"Hey guys maybe we should go check out to see if there's anything on the ship we could use or find out where we're going" Sammy spoke up.

" Good idea Sammy we should split up and cover more ground"

Sammy and Yaz are going as a group then it's Ben and Kenji and I decided to go alone. I was going to walk out of the container when I felt a hand grab my arm and pull me back.

"Darius, can we talk?"
" Sure Ben what's up?" ' um it's just...you know last night when w...we fell asleep holding each
other. Well more like me holding you but you get what I mean."

As Ben started to ramble I noticed how red he was getting... w...was Ben blushing!?

" What I'm trying to say Darius is that I like you... Like like like you in a romantic
way."

I stared at Ben in shock. He likes me...me? The guy who is clumsy, isolated himself for a year, and got his friend killed, me?!"

" You like me? Ben, are you sure? Also didn't you say you had a girlfriend, oh my god you're
cheating"

" Okay first off I never had a girlfriend I was lacking sleep and my brain automatically said that, and yes I like you" " Wow that's oh wow"

" Listen I understand if you didn't feel the same"

" Yes I mean no I mean I like you too. I just didn't think you would like me."

" HELLO LOVER BOYS FORGETTING WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING
SOMETHING " " SORRY KENJI " Ben yelled back

" Hey Ben, can we talk about this once we're in a safe place? Just so you know, clear things up " " Ya... Ya totally "" Thanks." Ben suddenly kissed my forehead and ran to where he and Kenji are supposed to go.

"Idiot" I muttered as I walked to my destination.
