In the following days, Alejandro set his plan in motion. He continued to befriend Harold and though he attempted to be amiable with Owen, he found that he was too intolerable to bear, at least for now. Heather on the other hand, was a different story. Heather, not having many friends or allies, remained luxuriating in first class alone. She only left to go to the bathroom or to shower so he was unable to approach her. He wasn't intimidated by her, but he didn't want to approach her in front of the others, lest they get the wrong idea. So whilst Heather was in first class, she was untouchable. Thankfully, he wasn't the only one becoming irritated with Harold's idle ramblings. Two days in Japan and everyone was sick of him rattling off anything and everything he knew about the country. Alejandro would have been fine with it if he discussed topics of relevance or if he knew something interesting that could help him in the challenge, however he only discussed trivial matters, much to the irritation of everyone else. Should Team Victory lose, there was a very good chance that he'd be first to go. It was fortunate that Leshawna was also irritated by Harold's musings. It allowed Alejandro an opening with Leshawna as they shared glances of annoyance and suppressed laughter at Harold's expense. He had pretty much all of team Victory wrapped around his finger and it was now up to him to choose which order they would go. However, his work on his own team wasn't fantastic. For now, if a vote happened, it would be a coin toss between Tyler and himself. He figured he wouldn't wear himself down, at least not in the sense of manipulation, he made an effort to present himself as a reliable, valuable teammate and hoped it was enough to have it come down to a tiebreaker. However, the effectiveness of his efforts would soon be revealed.
This morning Chris told them to get into costume, meaning at least the first part of the challenge would happen today. He said that they would begin by flying again, which Alejandro, for one, was concerned about. Two nights ago, Owen leant against the fragile plane walls and that butter donkey broke the plane. In a quick attempt to quickly fix the issue, the hole was hastily patched up with wooden planks, causing Alejandro to be even more concerned for the plane's safety than he already was. So he sat in first class as they flew over Japan, listening as Owen screamed and carried on loudly.
"I'm too young to die!" Owen cried as he had for the last ten minutes that they had been in flight. Alejandro gritted his teeth. Why must he be on the same team as him? He heard the plane creak as they flew, the wooden planks wavering as they flew.
"Stop sweating, lunchbox. Air travel is like the fifteenth safest mode of transportation, unless you're in a death trap," Noah remarked in an attempt to placate the oversized dimwitt. His comment, as it turned out, was timed awfully as the shoddy wooden planks finally caved in on themselves, creating a hole in the airborne plane that was now attempting to suck them all out. His eyes widened as he reached out and gripped whatever was closest to him, fighting against the pull of the wind. "This one for example!" Noah shouted over the noise as wind whipped around the plane's interior. Everyone screamed, some for a producer, some for Chris, but most of them for their lives. Alejandro didn't scream, instead he made an attempt to placate his racing heart and breathe in and out. He desperately looked for a solution and found none. However, amidst the chaos, Alejandro noticed Leshawna slowly lose her grip on the seat she clung onto for life. Despite his ruthless nature in competition, it would be inhumane to let someone die. He needed to act quickly if he were to save her. He gripped the clothes wire that hung above the seats, giving it a firm tug to make sure it was secure, (which it was, to his complete shock) before slowly but surely bringing himself closer to the hole in the plane.
"This is not the way Leshawna is leaving this world!" She yelled as she lost her grip. She screamed as she was ripped from her place, about to be sucked into the abyss, until Alejandro caught her in his free arm.
"Such beauty will not fall through giant airplane holes on my watch." He said as he looked deeply into her eyes, attempting to flirt with her as well as tap into the humor their relationship was built off of. Now that he was relatively sure that there would be no casualties, he continued to look around the plane for a solution. Thankfully he didn't have to search long as Owen flew past him, about to be sucked out of the plane, before his large figure blocked the hole in the plane. Everything returned to calmness, as the wind stopped blowing and his heartbeat slowed back to its normal rhythmic beat. Despite not needing Alejandro to save her life anymore, Leshawna remained clinging to him. He let her hold onto him as long as she wished, letting her revel in him for a bit.
