The prince or the princess saving the day
good versus evil, we all know who wins
but it drew us in anyway
an escape from the tedious everyday life
facing the most vicious monsters and villains
defeating the dragon with one perfect blow
immersed in our imaginations
that could take us anywhere
and do anything we wanted
watching the fairies and nymphs
creatures made of magic
pirate ships, a missing glass slipper,
enthralled us all at some point
Oh, why did we have to grow up?
