Introduction

Jake was a cold CEO who was simply there for business, he didn't care about relationships. all he knew was business.

Liyana was a successful corporate lawyer, the best in the country and she also came from Wealth.

She's dealing with a lawsuit against Jake's company, she's hesitant about taking it until Jake comes to her to bribe her, he barges into her office and places a contract on her desk

"If i pay you 3 billion dollars to shut the lawsuit down, will you do it?" he spoke placing a check on her desk.

"Excuse me?" she scoffed, raising her brow whilst looking at him

Jake raised an eyebrow at her scoff, not many people gave him attitude let alone women.
"Don't play dumb sweetheart. i'm asking you to drop the lawsuit against my company."

"It's not my lawsuit for me to drop it, i'm just the lawyer working on the case." she pursed her lips at his stupidity

Jake rolled his eyes, his patience was running thin the more irritated he got the more his accent showed through.
"then let the case drop. there's no point to keep it up when you know damn i didn't do the things they're accusing me of."

she huffed flicking through her paperwork.
"Well then, if thats the case you don't have anything to worry about. the court will prove you're innocent, if you really are."

jake rolled his eyes a second time, he hated how confident she was.
"there's no need to be so cocky. The court won't do anything, it'll just ruin my business reputation and i don't have time for lawsuits."

"Bribe the company filing the lawsuit, i can't do anything about it." she shrugged.

Jake let out a grunt of annoyance, he didn't like people giving him orders especially not a from a woman.
"Sweetheart, we both know you're tempted by the bribe."
"are you stupid?" she chuckled.
Jake felt more and more ticked off as she continued to speak, "listen here you little-"
jake cut himself off as he clenched his jaw before letting out a deep breath and leaning against her desk.
"You're getting on my nerves, Park."

"Listen, i can't drop the lawsuit, only the company can, i'm just backing them up in court." she tried to make him understand.

"Why the hell not? i'm paying you 3 billion dollars. that's not enough to persuade you to drop the damn lawsuit?" Jake groaned in irritation, this was probably the most stubborn woman he'd ever had to deal with and it was annoying the hell out of him.

"All i can do is back out the case, i can't stop the lawsuit from happening." she spoke getting annoyed at his constant repetetiveness.
"Okay back out the case then." he rolled his eyes.
"No, backing out this case will ruin my reputation. I've never lost a case, let alone back out one." she scoffed
"You're so infuriating, you know?" Jake was getting aggravated at her stubborness.
"I'm just doing my Job." she mumbled not sparing him a glance.
"Okay how about this then?" he sighed before carrying on.
"How about you go and convince the company to drop the lawsuit?" he raised his brow.

"And why should i do that for you?" she raised an eyebrow.

"I'll do anything in return." he muttered
"Anything?" she looked up at him

"Anything."
