Feeling the bright sunlight falling on his sleepy face , he groaned a little , whined but yet decided to wake up .Rubbing his eyes with his palms for a few seconds while he was struggling to get up something clicked in his head making his eyes widened in terror as he remembered something ...The boy immediately got up on his feet and rushed to the door as fast as he could with his injured leg ...he bumped into a few things in his way but didn't mind it ..
Just the moment he was about to open the door , he stopped seeing the nob twisting ..and just in a few seconds there stood the lady in front of him , the lady he is supposed to call his mom .
??: Good M-moring Mom..
He mumbled in a quiet way , greeting immediately , enough for the lady to hear it and scoff it away , she took a step closer to the boy who already had his head hung lower..
??2: Took you a lot to wake up hmm ? ( she crossed her arms and stared directly at him ) Did you forget you have school today ? Or you just love troubling me Jungkook ?
Jungkook : I slept late yesterd-ay ( he was cut off by another scoff as the lady pushed him aside and walked in his room )
This is Kyung Kim , Jungkook's step mother , the lady who adopted him herself , she is obsessed with being richy and luxurious lifestyle , she loves bossing around and being arrogant of her wealth ..but the one thing she loves the most is treating Jungkook poorly...
Jungkook watched her examining his room with an irritated face , the thought itself gave him chills that she will definitely get another irrational excuse to insult him ....and he was right , the moment her eyes laid on the laptop , she looked back at Jungkook , arching his one eyebrow she pointed at laptop and then back at Jungkook
Kim Kyung : So this is what you were doing all night again ? ( coldly )
Jungkook shocked his head , wanted to yell at her badly but instead a tear rolled down his eyes ..He kept his gaze down all the time the Lady walked to him and slapped him harshly across his face ...he didn't even bother to touch his stinging cheek knowing well that the slap has already left a bruise
Kim Kyung : Such a useless kid you are ! Do you think I am feeding and educating you for you to waste my money on your stupid play dates !! You will always be just a disappointment for us ! ( she yelled a little but then lowered her voice as soon as she saw a figure approaching them and in a blink of an eye , her voice went softer and calmer ) What is it Jungkookah ? I told you to take rest but you again neglected my words ..You know I never stop you from anything , but baby health comes first , look at your leg its still require time to heal and here you are ( shook her head being disappointed ) Come on Mom is sorry for slapping you but you need to understand too ( saying she pulled the little boy in a hug , not forgetting to roll her eye before again faking a smile in doing so )
??3 : Whats going on here ? ...( A voice asked from the door with a visible frown ) And ...may I know why you are yelling at him again ? ( he asked pulling Jungkook out of the suffocating hug the lady was giving him )
Kim Kyung : Ah I am not yelling at him Jinnie , I was just talking to him ( she said in the most lovely tone but Jin just rolled his eyes , not even hiding it , wanting to show his mom that he isn't buying her lies )
Jin: talking to him ? I don't think slapping is also a part of talking !! ( Jin said greeting his teeth once he noticed the fingerprint on The younger's face along with his teary eyes ) What the hell Mom ! Why did you slap him now ?
Kim Kyung : ( sighed ) It just happened in the heat of the moment , I didn't mean it- ( Jin glared at her )
Jin: What do you mean Heat of moment !! You can't just slap him whenever you want ! ( yelled )
Kim Kyung : He is my son I have the right to hit him on his mistakes and I didn't hit him for nothing ! I don't know why I even have to explain this to You Jin , he is my son goddammit ! Why would I hurt him purposely , He has hurt his leg and Was told to rest while he was here again playing games all night ignoring his health , Am I not suppose to get a little mad !?
Jin: ( scoffed ) Yeah definitely , But I don't see anything bad in talking to him calmly rather than hitting him !
Kim Kyung : I already told you it happened mistakenly ( she said calmly , not wanting to make his son mad at her )
Jin: And I am not buying this excuse .... Please go out , give us a little privacy , I have to talk to him ( he said not even giving her the time to continue the argument )
Kim Kyung : Fine ! Come fast I made your favorite for breakfast ( She said lovingly while giving a little pat at Jin's head ) And.... I am sorry Kookie , Mom didn't mean to hit you ( she rolled her eyes when none gave her any response and left glaring sharply at Jungkook )
Once she was gone , Jin has led Jungkook to his bed carefully , he wiped the younger's tears with his hands and later cupped his face and made him look at himself .
Jin: Come on stop crying now .. Was it that bad ? ( Jungkook simply shook his head while sniffing ) Then why would you keep crying ?
Jungkook : I wasn't play-ing game-s , Mom had taken my phone las-t weak and to tal-k to my friend I used lap-top only ( sniffing )
Jin: Hmm ..its okay ( sighed ) Umm Can you tell me how did you hurt your leg yesterday ?
Jungkook : ( gulped ) I fell .
Jin: I wasn't looking up for a lie , the wound isn't from a mere fall.. ( he sighed again seeing Jungkook struggling to look at him ) Alright . Its up to you if you wanna tell me or not ...I just hope its not done by mom ..I know she is angry with you because of your report card but it isn't acceptable that she keeps punishing you ..I will definitely have to talk to her once i will come back from my this shift but for now I want you to not hide anything from me , got it ?
Jungkook : I am not hiding anything hyung ( said looking down )
Jin: Hmm ( he got up while shaking his head knwing jungkook is definately lying and was about to leave when Jungkook held his hand making him look back at younger ) what is it ?
Jungkook : Can you drop me to school hyung ? ( nervously )
Jin : School ? ( kook nodded a little ) Why would you want to go to school with an injured leg ? You should stay home and rest , one day skip doesn't matter
Jungkook : I have an important test today , Don't want to skip it ( he lied with pleading eyes , not wanting to stay at home knowing well that Their Mom is hella angry at him and Jin is about to leave for his eighteen hours shift leaving him alone with their mom , Moreover its way better at school than at home eventho he hates school as much as he hate home )
Jin: ( after thinking for a while ) Alright , get ready ...( Jungkook nodded and went to change up in his uniform while Jin left to freshen up as well ...and later Jin dropped him school and left for his own work )
