part 1

It was the start of shift and Lucy was so tired, more than usual since her and Tim had to work overtime last night to help the night shift with a case. It was 7:30 and she slowly got herself ready for work. Tim was the new Sargent and she was his aid. She realy enjoyed working with Tim as he had taught her a lot over the years and she's slowly falling for him. She walked in the station at 8. Roll call was in 15 minutes and she still wasn't changed so she rushed into the changing rooms where Angela and Nyla were already ready. "hey lucy" Nyla said seeing lucy rush in. "Hey guys, uhm I don't mean to be rude but I better get ready I'm so late ahhah." Lucy said smiling at the 2 girls. "Yes ofc see you later." Angela and Nyla then walked out of the changing rooms into roll call early. Lucy got dressed as fast as she could put on some powder before walking into roll call with Jackson who was standing outside waiting for her. "okay so we are having a little bit of a switch up as I will be riding with Tim and the detectives need some help on a case so lucy u will be staying with the detectives and everyone else will stay with who they normally are. That's it night shift found the guy so there is no cases for today. Stay safe out there." Grey said his voice echoed the room each time he spoke. Everyone got up and walked out and lucy walked over to the detectives. "So guys, what we doing today then." Lucy said smiling making her way over  to Angela and Nyla who still hadn't got out of their seats. "Well I'm not to sure actually we don't have a case we have been sent so we can go through some old ones and get them out of the way." Angela stated before the girls walked out and Angela grabbed lucy a seat. Before they knew it, it was lunch and they decided they wanted to get some lunch at their normal spot to catch up with the patrol officers. "Hey Luce u coming." Nyla said grabbing her bag and keys. "Yes but can I see u guys there since I just have to find something in my bag." Lucy said walking off to the lockers. She eventually found what she was looking for and went over to the mirror to top up some makeup. She grabbed her bag and went to sign out there was only her and the receptionist there untill a girl rushed through the door in a panic with mascara all down her face she looked about 15 and she had a few bruises on her arm and one around her face. Lucy stared at the girl and she looked at her back. They held eye contact for a while before lucy decided to walk over to her. "Can I help you,you look hurt do you need to be taken to the hospital." Lucy said staring at this girl who had just walked in the girl looked into Lucy's eyes and just started crying.
