Today was Charlie's birthday. She was an everyday nine year old (well, if the nine year old had weathy parents and had no friends, then yeah, then that's every day nine year old).
Charlie was sitting on her coach eating a freashly baked brownie. "Hey Charlie, can you come into the kitchen, please?"
her mother asked from the kitchen. "Sure, Momma," Charlie responed. She walked into the kitchen. "Honey, who would you like to invite to your party?"Charlie's sweat dropped. she didn't want her mom or dad to make a big deal about her not having any friends. So what any child would do is lie (that's what i would've done). "uumm... My friends are busy, sorry mom, "Charlie lied. Her mother felt pitty for her daughter for her not to have people at her party. Charlie saw the sad/pitty expession on her mom's face.
"Mom, it's okay. i wanted to have a party with just the three of us!" Charlie fake smiled, trying to make it confinceing. "Oh.....Okay!" Her mother smiled back, releif flood over her.
