Nico p.o.v.

When Fury did his check up thing, I was internally freaking out. I was so scared, but I worked hard to hide it. I almost sighed in relief when he was done. Why was I so freakin scared? I hate it. I quickly composed myself and listened to Fury ramble about my health condition. Then I write Fury a quick note. Fury smiles a little when he reads it.

"What does it say!?" Clint asks, clearly confused.

"It says 'thank you Fury the pirate doctor.'" Fury says. Fury then turns to me. "Ready to meet your dad?" I smiled bigger than I have my entire life.

TIMESKIP

I stood in front of Stark Towers with Clint and Black Widow, who I have now learned is named Natasha, but Clint calls her Nat. Clint gave me one of his sweatshirts, which was way too big, but covered up my scars. Unfortunately they could find nothing for pants, so I was stuck with my cut up pants. Clint and Natasha were both wearing sunglasses and hats to avoid being seen. I was wearing the hood on Clint's sweatshirt. "Come on, kiddo." Clint says. He then directs me to an elevator. We climb in the elevator when a voice rings out.

"Welcome back Mr. Barton and Ms. Romanoff. May I ask who your guest is."  The voice says. I jump back in surprise slamming into Natasha, Clint and Natasha don't even react.

"That's JARVIS, he is an AI that runs the building." Natasha explains to me. "It's good to be back, JARVIS. This is Nico Johnson-Stark, please do not inform Stark of him yet. Call all of the avengers into the commons room."

"Will do, Ms. Romanoff. Although I must comment, I am surprised to learn that boss has a child and is unaware of his existence." JARVIS says.

"Oh!" Clint says, "Nico is also mute, so you will have to be creative when figuring out how he can talk to you."

"Thank you for informing me of that, Mr. Barton." JARVIS tells him. The elevator then dings open revealing the common's room.

"Let's go sit down," Clint tells me. Clint and I sit next to each other on one of the couches. Natasha sits next to Clint.

"Hey guys, how it - wait, who's the kid?" A blond man I recognized as Captain America said. Something about him scared me, and I curled up into Clint, who was shocked to say the least. He got over his shock quickly and wrapped his arm around me.

"It's ok, it's ok" Clint whispers to me.

"This is Nico, we will explain who he is and why he is here once the others arrive." Natasha says. A couple of minutes later all of the avengers are sitting on the couches. When they came into the room, they all had a similar reaction to me, resulting in me curling deep into Clint.

"Ok guys, this is Nico. We went on a S.H.I.L.D. mission to get info and destroy a terrorist base that was manufacturing weapons. When we broke in, we found Nico here. Long story short, Nico is Tony's biological kid. His mom did not want him and left him at an orphanage. He is a genius like you Tony. The terrorists found out, kidnapped him, and made him build weapons. He is also a selective mute." Natasha tells them. All of the avengers minus Clint and Natasha sit in shock.

"Well that explains why he looks like a mini stark," Bruce mutters.

"I have a kid?" Tony asks. Clint nods. "Have we done a DNA test? How can we be sure he is not an imposter."

"We did a DNA test, Tony." Natasha fibs, technically I did one. Tony just kinda sits there in shock. I motion to Clint to hand me the notebook. He does and I write a note.

"It's ok if you don't want me, Mr. Stark. I am fine at the orphanage,"  I hand the note to Tony.

"It's not that I don't want you... it's just that I have no idea how to raise a kid," Tony says. I quickly begin writing.

"You do not have to worry about me, I have been raising myself my whole life.

"That's not really ok either." Tony says softly.

"Will you please explain to me what you are talking about?" Thor asks.

"Oh, yeah, sorry." Tony says, "basically Nico told me that it's ok if I don't want him, to which I told him I don't know how to raise a child. He then told me he has been raising himself his whole life and I don't have to worry about that."

"We will help you," Thor says.

"Of course we will Tony, I mean look, at Clint he is already acting like a dad," Steve says. I look up at Clint, and Clint looks down at me, he is kinda acting like a dad. I wonder if he has kids, I bet he does, and he has not told the team. I bet Natasha knows though.

"On that note," Clint begins, "Fury said that he needs an IV to get nutrients. Can you help us with that Bruce?" Bruce nods his head.

"Does he need a check up?" Bruce asks.

"Fury gave him a quick check up. He is terrified of doctors." Natasha tells him. Then Natasha turns to me, "Can I tell them?" Natasha asks. I nod my head. "The terrorists operated on Nico with anesthesia, resulting in him being terrified of doctors." Natasha tells them. Tony and I shudder, while the rest of the team looks at me in shock and pity. I write a quick note and hand it to Clint to read aloud.

"He says, "like father, like son"," Clint reads aloud. Tony looks up at me, his face is filled with sadness.

"I'll get the stuff for the IV. We can do it up here instead of the medbay." Bruce says. Bruce leaves and comes back up a minute later carrying a bag. He takes my arm and inserts the IV, I curl up into Clint even further. Clint tightens his arm around me.

"All done," Bruce says. I am still shaking I fear. I can feel the eyes of the rest of the avengers on me.

"It's ok kiddo, it's ok," Clint whispers to me. I fall asleep soon after because of exhaustion.
