"Please... receive the remainder of the Guardian's Power..."

Those were the last words Silverbell Cookie heard right before His Majesty, Elder Faerie, perished.

White Lily Cookie cried as she heard his lasts words, why would she, a Cookie with half a life, be granted the Guardian's Power...? She didn't want to lose him, after all, the two shared the same dream—to do anything for the freedom of Cookiekind.

Silverbell Cookie, on the other hand, watched as his king turned into ashes, holding back his tears. Oh, how he wanted to touch him for the very last time, to be in White Lily Cookie's place...

He envied her during His Majesty's last moments, he wanted to tell him about his feelings, and yet... it was too late. The times they spent together, the amount of orders Silverbell Cookie had from King Elder Faerie... all came down the drain.

He wished he was still here, so he could finally confess his love for His Majesty. But still, after the events of his passing, Silverbell Cookie never dared to even think about his passing from the day forward.

Faeriewood, one week after The Elder's passing. Silverbell has not gave His Majesty's grave a gift yet, he is planning to do so, but he just can't control his emotions once he is mentioned.

"Y-Your Majesty... Oh, Elder Faerie..."

Tears started flowing down his azure cheeks. His heart was tainted with despair and guilt, and still, he cannot accept the fact that Elder Faerie has perished.

"If only you were still here... then I could confess my feelings to you... Your Majesty, please... if you're there... I love you!"

A painful tone in his voice drastically changed Silverbell's entire personality. A feeling of longing, sorrow and melancholy.

The Faerie decided to visit His Majesty's tomb, with a bouquet of bluebells and bellflowers in hand. He tried to hold back his tears, but when he finally reached the King's resting place, he broke down into tears.

No one was there, no one could hear him. Only the faint scent of melting wax flew through the air. He was in the deeper parts of the Faerie Castle, and no one was around at this time of hour.

There, his tears soaked the bouquet of flowers in his hand, and he placed the bundle right next to the tombstone.

"Your Majesty... I... if only I could get to see you once more..."

The little Faerie sniffled, gripping his chest. It was as if many swords were piercing through the veins of his beating heart.

"I.. will always remember you, Elder Faerie. I still remember the day you elected me as protector of Faeriewood. The first time you held my hand, wrapping your wings around me in a warm embrace... promising that I, as Faeriewood's protector... will cut down any danger that dares to walk into our lands... I miss you, Elder Faerie... I r-really do-! I... I can't... and I can't... I love you...! How can I accept your fate...?! I LOVE YOU...!"

Silverbell Cookie buried his head onto His Majesty's statue above the grave. He couldn't accept it, he knew that he should, but he just can't. When he looked at the statue's face for the second time, a wave of sorrow washed his mind away. Sobbing into His Majesty's chest of stone, a feeling then came upon the faerie.

"Your Majesty... please... it's as if I can actually feel you... I love you... I... I am sorry if I have been hiding my feelings for so long... Is it really my fault? Being in your arms... brings me comfort..."

"It is not your fault, Silverbell Cookie. It is alright, I am here. If only we could've known each other sooner. Hearing your pleas, it makes me feel the same thing, too..."

"Your Majesty..." He said with a soothed voice.

"Seeing you like this... it breaks my heart. I'm sorry. I love you, too. I, thank you for sharing your feelings with me."

"I'm so happy that I get to finally talk with you for the last time... I... I'm about to cry even more..."

"Do not cry, Silverbell Cookie. I am already here, and will always be. Even if I am gone, I will still remain in your heart."

Elder Faerie Cookie put his hand to the faerie's cheek, and wiped a single tear away with his thumb. Silverbell sniffled once more, he is happy, yet also sad to see his love one last time.

"Please, do not cry... it is alright. It's not your fault, Silverbell Cookie. But do remember this... you must accept the fact that I have perished."

"But I don't want to...! You're my everything, Elder Faerie...! Please, come back..."

"As much as I want to, I cannot. I am sorry, Silverbell Cookie... But you have to accept it. White Lily Cookie is the guardian now."

"Please, Your Majesty..! If only I could be in your arms once more..."

"You already are, my little Silverbell Cookie. And these shall be the last moments I will spend with you. I love you, Silverbell Cookie..."

"Oh, Elder Faerie..."

Silverbell Cookie shed out the last of his tears, burying his face into Elder Faerie Cookie's chest. His tears fell onto His Majesty's silver armor, and his wings and arms wrapped the two in a hug. The Faerie King rubbed his hand on the archer faerie's back, he was trying so hard to comfort the sorrowful knight.

"T-thank you... for everything..."

"You are welcome, my dear faerie. But please... accept it."

"I think I already have, Your Majesty... being in your arms for the last time... my wishes finally becoming true... I love you. I'll say it again.. I love you, Elder Faerie... and I will always love you."

The Elder Faerie put his finger under Silverbell's chin, gently forcing the faerie to look up at him. He wiped the final stream of tears that came down Silverbell's face, and said;

"Oh, Silverbell Cookie... I love you, too..."

Without another doubt, Silverbell Cookie grabbed His Majesty's shoulders, and kissed him. Witnessing this, Elder Faerie Cookie returned the kiss, and held the knights azure cheeks.

"This was the first and last ever kiss we will have, Your Majesty... thank you... I love you."

"I love you, too, Silverbell Cookie..."

At that moment, Elder Faerie's dough started to fade into obscurity, fading away into ashes.

"Goodbye, Elder Faerie Cookie..."

"Until we meet again, my Silverbell Cookie...

... and please remember;

I am still here."

"I love you...!"

"I love you, too."

A swarm of butterflies emerged from the King's heart as he faded into dust. The faerie archer stood there in awe, finally embracing the current. With a silent sigh, he turned away and proceeded to exit the altar.
