Bella showed him her arms. Nothing was there. It was clean.

Bella: ok ok. Yes I used to cut when I was 13 but that's only because I was going through tough times. And I guess I never threw away the blades because I mean I forgot..? And the pills are just painkillers.
Ethan: yea I realized that. But why'd you do it? What rough times were you going through. You always said your life was the dream and that people wish they had your life. Even if you went through tough times in that dream life you wouldn't have cut. There's something you're keeping from me and I'm going to figure it out.

Grayson: take off your sweater.
Bella: I'd rather not do that.

She took off her sweater. Only to reveal scars on her shoulders.
Ethan: some of these scars don't even look like she cut. Some of these look like she got beaten by someone or something
Bella: ok everyone out my room
Ethan: but-
Bella: OUT NOW
Ethan got out but Grayson stayed
Bella: Grayson get out now.
Grayson: not until you tell me
Bella: look it's late
Grayson: it's 6:30 pm. Not that late. The sun is still shining.
Bella: BYE GRAYSON

Bella: I just got into this huge fight with one of my friends. She was saying how I always ditch her for nothing and how I'm to shy to tell you guys anything and that I don't have time for her.
Grayson: it's ok. You don't have to cry over that. Most people will come and go and there's nothing you can do about it

Grayson rubbed Bella's back as she was crying.
Grayson: wanna watch a movie...? Maybe you'll feel better after that
