A/N
Honestly I haven't seen any PercyxKhione stories. Just to dip my feet in the water, I decided to make one myself. Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be a cliche mess...
Percy Jackson walked away from Camp Half-Blood. This wasn't an unusual sight. Any time he visited his mother, he had to leave camp. Upon closer inspection, one could see his cheeks were tear stained and his once mirthful eyes were dull.
Just days earlier possibly one of the best events of his life had occurred.
~
Seven demigods stood at the foot of a beautiful throne. Sitting on this throne was none other than the king of the gods himself.
"You seven demigods have demonstrated your unwavering courage and ability when defending the safety and security of Olympus with your lives. After much deliberation, I have decided to bestow a gift upon each of you that very few mortals could even dream of having." Zeus spoke, unwavering. "We wish to bestow upon you the gift of godhood," He announced.
Every member of the seven look at each other, with wide eyes. They slowly nodded except one. This one demigod took a small shuffle backwards. His name was Perseus Achilles Jackson. His windswept, messy raven hair framed his sea green eyes. A well defined jawline adorned his face.
A well built upper body complemented his strong legs. In his pocket he held his trusty sword Riptide.
Most of the Olympians didn't notice his small step backwards. One however, did. "Perseus Jackson!" Zeus spoke. Percy froze in place, "Why do you decline our wonderful gift," Zeus raised his hands dramatically.
Percy stood there and formulated a response. "Lord Zeus– I feel honored, but I need some time to think about it," He confessed.
Zeus watched him with a critical eye. "Very well then. Take as much time as you need." He confirmed.
The rest of the seven stared wide eyed at the demigod who had just declined godhood. Percy stood there and smiled as the rest of the seven were given their godhood.
He walked over to Annabeth and grasped her hand lightly. She stood there for a moment before opening her mouth. "Get away from me mortal!" She shouted, reeling in anger.
Percy stumbled backwards, shocked. "Wise girl..." he trailed off, tears forming in his eyes. "It's me," he tried to reason.
Annabeth was having none of it. "You will address me as Lady Annabeth, you disposable flesh bag," She insulted.
"Wha–" he stammered. A piercing glare penetrated deep into his soul. Without waiting for dismissal, he turned and sprinted away.
Any attempt to stop him was futile, his speed and stamina proved to be too much for the less experienced demigods of the seven.
The olympians however, understood the implications of the situation and against their better judgment they decided not to give chase.
Percy ran. Ran until his legs couldn't carry him any more. Hailing a taxi cab, he was able to get a ride back to camp.
Retrieving his things, he was able to leave camp unnoticed. With newfound vigior, he traveled away from camp. Days on his own turned to weeks. As the cool of the summer began to fade, the beautiful colors of fall adorned the path he traveled.
Ever since passing the border into Canada, the roads that he traveled that were once inhabited with traffic were now dull and empty. The farther away from the border he traveled, the less people he would see.
As the weeks turned to months. The emptiness he felt inside was only amplified by the fact that he could go days without seeing another soul.
One day however, that began to change. As the first snow fell he felt a feeling, drawing him away from the road he had traveled for so long.
