I stumbled through the front door, exhausted from another long day at school. The weight of my backpack seemed to grow heavier with each step, as if it was filled with bricks instead of textbooks. I kicked off my shoes and let out a sigh of relief, finally free from the confines of the outside world. As I made my way to the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of myself in the hallway mirror. My reflection looked worn out, with dark circles under my eyes and disheveled hair. I couldn't help but wonder when life had become so draining. But tonight, I promised myself, I would forget about all my worries and just relax. I went through my nightly routine, washing away the day's grime and slipping into my comfiest pajamas. The soft fabric hugged my tired body, providing a sense of comfort that I desperately needed. With a yawn, I crawled into bed, ready to drift off into a peaceful slumber..…
But when I opened my eyes, I found myself in a cold, dimly lit metal cell. Panic surged through my veins as I tried to make sense of my surroundings. How did I end up here? And why couldn't I remember anything? Before I could gather my thoughts, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed through the corridor outside. The cell door creaked open, revealing a figure dressed in a white lab coat. A scientist. My heart raced as they motioned for me to follow them. Reluctantly, I stepped out of the cell, my bare feet meeting the cold, hard floor. The scientist led me down a maze of sterile hallways until we reached a room with a single metal table. On it lay an array of sharp tools, glinting ominously under the harsh fluorescent lights. "Get on the table." the scientist commanded, their voice devoid of any emotion. Fear gripped me, but I couldn't find the words to protest. Something about this situation felt horribly wrong, but I couldn't put my finger on it. As I climbed onto the table, the scientist quickly bound me to it, securing my limbs with restraints. Panic surged through me as I realized there was no escape. I struggled against the restraints, my heart pounding in my chest. The scientist leaned in close, their face hidden behind a surgical mask. "You should have trusted me…." they whispered, their voice laced with a chilling familiarity. Recognition flickered in my mind, but before I could grasp it, they pressed a mask over my face, and darkness consumed me.…..
When I woke up, I found myself back in my own bed, drenched in sweat. It was just a dream, I reassured myself, trying to calm my racing heart. But as I glanced around the room, a sense of unease settled over me. Everything was exactly as it should be, yet something felt off. I reached for my phone, desperate for a distraction from the lingering fear. But as I unlocked the screen, a single message appeared, sending shivers down my spine. It read, "I'm watching you. Sweet dreams, my love." A chill ran down my spine as I realized that the nightmare was far from over. Someone out there knew me, someone I had once trusted. And now, they were playing a twisted game with my life.........
