Chapter one
Maddy was at home, rushing around the house to get ready for another day of work at the small cafe that she unfortunately works at.
Geneva who was on the couch, was watching Maddy with a raised eyebrow and a slightly irritated expression on her face.
Gigi: "Why are you in such a rush? We still have like... an hour till work."
Maddy: "Well, I wanted to go to the shop real quick to grab a snack! And besides. It's better to be early then late!"
Gigi: "Whatever.. let's go, I suppose."
Then, both Maddy and Geneva headed out to the shop for that simple snack. Even though it won't take that long to buy a snack, it'd be a waste of time to even get one. They had a lot of snacks in a vending machine outside of the cafe.
~ At the corner shop ~
After about ten minutes of riding in the car, they have finally arrived at the corner shop, the bright lights slightly blinding Geneva and irriating her eyes. Maddy was amazed for.. some reason. She quickly got out of the vehicle and rushed passed the automatic doors before looking at the goodies that were stocked on the small shelves. Maddy glanced up and down at what treat she wanted to get but she couldn't make up her mind.
Maddy: "hmm.. should I get the Hershey's bar? Or the kitkat.."
Maddy was really focused on what to get that she didn't realize, out of nowhere, Geneva comes up from behind her and grabs the kitkat. But before she grabs her wrist, she says:
Gigi: "oh wow a kitkat. Great choice! Now hurry up."
Geneva dragged Maddy by the wrist and forced her to the checkout. Gigi looked at the cashier with a soft look and spoke in a kindly tone:
Gigi: "I'd like to buy this please."
The cashier smiled before scanning the kitkat and glancing at the screen, waiting for the price to show up. The cashier looked back at Geneva as the price popped up.
Cashier: "that'll be three dollars and forty cents."
Geneva nodded slightly before sliding her hand down to her pocket and pulling out a card.
The cashier grabbed the card and slid it inside the credit card machine. They all patiently waited for it to accept. Once it did, the cashier handed the card back to Geneva and said: "have a great day!".
Geneva and Maddy went back inside the car and sat in the seats. Maddy felt slightly disappointed in the snack she got but wasn't ungrateful.
They both looked at the time and noticed they had at least thirty minutes till work started. They wondered what to do to pass the time. That's when Maddy had an idea and suggested they should go for a ride around the city to pass the time, so that's what they did.
