The dark mysterious figure appeared in her window
she gasped softly, in surprise, feeling a mix of

"This is all so..."
"fucking boring" aerial grumbled flinging the half read box across the room. sighing heavily, she fell down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. She hated romance books. She hated the corny dialogue, she hated the garbage story, but most of all, she hated that they had something she didn't. Love.

Aerial had never had a boyfriend. Plenty of people had asked her out of course, from the muscular athletes to the rich city boys, but she turned them all down instantly. She had never understood love. People always talked about how amazing it is and all the girls at her school gossiped about boys all day long, but she didn't understand. Perhaps its because she never had parents. Perhaps it's because she grew up homeless. However, despite the reason behind it, aerial did not have a drop of love in her heart. And that is why she had to read romance novels. She wanted to understand. She wanted to feel love too. But all her reading got her nowhere. Admitting defeat, she turned over onto her side, falling into a dreamless slumber.

Clara was awoken by his alarm clock's soft chimes, as birds sang and sunshine washed over him. Hopping out of bed, he stripped off his striped pajamas, grabbing the outfit he had selected and neatly folded the night before and pulling it on. Humming to himself softly, he brushed his teeth twice, making sure he didn't have bed head. It was the first day of school after all, and first impressions are important. Hopping down the stairs, he rushed to the kitchen, eating his breakfast quickly and sipping his tall glass of milk. "Hey! Slow down!" His mother scolded, turning away from the sizzling bacon on the stove. "Sorry mom" he said, wiping the milk off his top lip, and then rushing to put on his book bag and shoes. He wasn't late, but he didn't want to risk it on the first day of school. Right before he was about to dash out the door, two big hands scooped him up, as his mother lifted him to kiss his forehead. "Have a good day at school honey" she said smiling. "Mommmm!" He whined, flinching a little, embarrassed. His mother was massive, as too was his father. Clara, on the other hand, was tiny. He didn't like it, and was always drinking lots of milk to try to become taller, but his parents called it a "miracle". Sometimes he wondered if they really were his biological parents, as both of them had black hair while Clara had blond hair, but they assured him he was their biological son, and simply called it another "miracle". Finally, Clara's mother put him down, and let him out the door. "Bye mom! I love you!" Clara called to her, before dashing off towards the train station. It was a very short walk to the train station, so he was there in no time as he quickly sprinted there. Clara was an expert at weaving through crowds, as he was so small, so crowds didn't stop him. As he sprinted through the station, he spotted his train, about to leave. Wanting to make it, he sprinted across the station floor and just barely managed to slip through the closing doors barreling into the train, as he hit something soft. A little dazed, he realized he ran into someone. "Ah! I'm so sorry about that....." he trailed off, looking up at the massive girl towering above him

Aerial groaned as she stepped onto the train. Nobody likes school, but she especially hated it. She didn't particularly hate schoolwork, but she didn't like being with so many people. Summer came and went in the blink of an eye, and now she finally had to come back. Just as she was daydreaming in her head, she heard a small voice yell. "Wait!!" Suddenly something ran into her leg. She flinched a little, but it didn't really hurt. Still she was annoyed. She looked down, ready to yell at whoever it was, as she saw the boy. He was small, very small, with bright blond hair and slim arms. Suddenly it seemed like time had stopped. The roaring noise of the busy subway station was drowned out, as she stared at the boy. "Ah! I'm so sorry about that....." she heard him say, in the high pitched somewhat shaky voice she heard before. Two big blue eyes stared up at her from beneath his long blond hair. Looking at the boy, not a single thought crossed her mind. Her mind was blank. She simply stared at him for what seemed like a long time. Then, somewhat unconsciously, she scooped him up in her hands, holding him up to her face by the base of his arms. His bright blue eyes widened in surprise, as he blushed and stammered in confusion. She examined his face, scanning it with her eyes. He was a boy like nothing she had ever seen before, and he fascinated her.
