My parents were out of town today, more like my mother, because we found out a year ago that my dad had cheated on my mother with one of his secretaries. I hate my dad. I really do. I put on a knee lengthen black dress, opaque tights, and leave my hair open, and it's just naturally straight. I like it that way. I sigh as I look myself in the mirror, Zak's words lingering in my mind. Didn't you hear about it? Your ex boyfriend is doing a party at his house with his new girlfriend. I heard he cheated on you. What a shame. Was I really that stupid to think I would ever find true love? I don't know about that anymore. It's a shame, really.

I leave my house, and go in my car, as I drove to Ryan's house. It brings back so many memories, like the time where we used to hook up nearly every day after school, how he would kiss me and tell me he loves me, how he would take me into his arms when I used to cry, and hug me. He wouldn't give a damn to the world about anything when he was with me. He was free.

"Hey Princess." I hear an unmistaken voice say behind me. Zak. I turn around. "What do you want?" I sigh, and cross my arms. He stumbles slightly, and grabs my waist with both his hands, his face uncontrollably close to mine. My pulse quickens. Obviously he was drunk. "You're drunk." I say, pushing him away slightly. "Only for you, Princess." He says. I push him off me. "Let go, Asshole!" I say, as I walk away, as I bump into someone. Ryan. I look up at him, my cheeks turning red. His brown hair was disheveled, just the way I liked it. He was wearing a t-shirt so tight, that his abs were visible.

"Hey," I say casually, trying to start a conversation. "Hey Ally. Can we talk, Alone?" He asks me. "Of course." I reply. He's obviously wanting to explain himself. I want to hear what he has to say this time. "What happened, Ry? What did you want to say?" I ask him, once we are standing outside on the porch. "Ally, I'm so sorry for what happened that night....you know....when-" I cut him off. "There's nothing to apologize for. I was waiting for that to happen anyway." I say to him, and walk away.

When I enter the party, I feel miserable as I walk up to my best friend who's getting drunk with her boyfriend. I smile, as I walk over to her. "Hey." I say. "Hey." she replies, her voice husky as she was drunk, and she was stumbling, as her boyfriend held her.  I smile. "You're drunk." I say, like it's obvious. Her boyfriend laughs at her cuteness, I turn around, to see Zak leaning against the wall, watching me from afar. I look away. "Looks like you've got a secret admirer." He teases me, and I turn around to see Zak smirking at me.

"what are you talking about?" I ask him, confused. He took a few steps towards me, and I took a few steps backwards. "Ryan. You broke his heart." I scoffed at what I was hearing, and rolled my eyes. "What's it to you?" I shot back, rolling my eyes again. He stepped dangerously close to me, that his hot breath was fanning my face, and I could feel my face burning. "I couldn't give a shit about who you hurt, Ally. The only thing I want now, is-" My eyes widened and I slapped him across the face before he could finish his sentence.

"Don't touch me again, you idiot!" I say, and run inside towards my best friend Ellery, who was smirking at me, and I glared at her. "Don't you dare say a word." I said, pointing my finger at her. I storm out of the party, feeling annoyed at everyone and everything in my life.

The next morning, I wake up to receive several texts from the group chat that me, Brooke, Malcolm and Ellery had. I groaned as all the messages were Malcolm and Ellery flirting with each other. Bullshit. I think to myself, and typed in a message.

Aaliyah: Um, guys, never heard of a private chat?

Ellery: Sorry babe. How are you feeling?

Aaliyah: I'm fine I guess.

Ellery: Sorry for pissing you off last night.

Aaliyah: it's fine. See you guys at school.

With that last message, I close my phone, and get up from bed. to get ready for school. In our school, our uniform was a white collar buttoned shirt, a blue and green plaited skirt, black knee high socks, a blue and green plaited tie, along with a blue blazer. I walked to school, and heard an unmistakable voice behind me. "Hey princess. What's up?" It was Zak's voice, and I turned around sharply. "what the hell do you want?" I snapped, only causing his smirk to widen even more, as he took a few steps closer to me, which only caused me to step back until my back touched the wall. "I wanted to see you, slut. You looked pretty angry last night."

He spoke in a low, attractive voice as he raised his hand to touch my cheek, put I pushed his hand away.

"Didn't I say to stay away from me?! What do you not understand?!" I yell, and run away to my first class.
