(Oscars POV)
Me and buck were sitting down on the couch. Pouring up and just talking.
"Dude wait, do you remember that girl that you were like obsessed with in Highschool?" "Don't bring up Y/n man." I tried to laugh it off.
Buck nudged me. "You were like genuinely in love with her. What happened to her anyway? I haven't seen her since our junior year."
A memory flashed in my head. There she was, an angel amongst mere mortals putting boxes in a moving van. She looked so pretty, her eyes glistened in the sunlight. I remember every detail of that day.
"I don't know man, I don't think she's been back in town since she moved that year..." "Weird." Buck said, then taking a sip.
(The next day.)
Me and buck were out getting groceries. We were in the snack isle. "What kind of chips should we get for the house?" Buck said to me, scanning the isle.
"I don't know man. You pick some out. I'm gonna go get a drink." "Ok." He said as I walked away. I turned the corner to see... her."
I panicked. My jaw dropped. I discreetly ran back to Buck. "So I think I'm gonna get-" I cut him off. "Dude it's her." I said out of breath. "Who?-" "Y/n I saw her. I swear to god this is like fate or something."
"What???" Buck walked over and peeked his head out of the isle. He looked back at me with his mouth wide open. "Holy shit dude you gotta make a move or something. It actually is her."
"I don't know man, I couldn't make a move for a whole 5 years. Why do you think I could now???"
"I mean we're adults now. We're more mature. Also you need someone in your life. You can't be the third wheel anymore."
"I don't know man..." "Dude you don't know how long she's gonna be in town. She could be gone tomorrow for all you know."
"What would I even say to her. She probably doesn't even remember me." "That don't matter." Buck started pushing me out of the isle.
Another memory came. I remember that day I was gonna try to make a move on her. When I got there though... Her car was already leaving. I felt the pure devastation that I felt that day just remembering it. I always try not to think about it, because all it brings me is pain and regret.
I looked over at buck now back in the isle. He whispered to me "Go." I sighed and started walking. As I approached her our eyes met. I felt like I was in pure heaven.
"Uhm- Hey... you probably don't remember me but-" "I remember you, Oscar right?" She smiled at me. "Uhm yeah.." I nervously laughed. She held out her hand. I shook it. Her soft skin touching mine.
