The day was slowly coming to an end as the sky darkens. Jeongyeon and Ju-hee were walking side by side in a park, there was sense of serenity as they quietly enjoy their company together. Jeongyeon was wearing the hood of her jacket and as she and Ju-hee slowly walked through the park that was lit by the soft orange glow of the lampposts. Ju-hee spoke making Jeongyeon to look at her senior whom she now towers over unlike before where she barely reaches Ju-hee’s shoulders.
“You’ve changed a lot, Jeongyeon.” Ju-hee told her.
“Is that a bad thing, unnie?” Jeongyeon asked, she wasn’t offended rather she was just curious if Ju-hee thinks differently of her now.
“Of course, not.” Ju-hee chuckled before looking down with a solemn smile. “I’m actually proud that you have changed yet there’s me who hasn’t changed one bit.” She mumbled.
Jeongyeon frowned, she never liked hearing someone looking down on their selves. “Unnie, you’ve also experienced many different hardships,” She said, “changing is different for each person. Just because one person has changed for something that’s beneficial for others doesn’t mean you also need to have that kind of change yourself. You can also change even if it’s only beneficial to you, you don’t have to change to satisfy anyone.” She told Ju-hee.
Ju-hee smiled at that as she gave Jeongyeon a hug which Jeongyeon reciprocated back before she pulled away slightly to face her with smile. “You’re right,” she agreed. “You know that despite being at B rank, I get scared way too easily for a hunter. I always tried to overcome my fears, but it wasn’t easy. With my rank, I should be joining A or B rank dungeons maybe even C rank if you’re not conditioned well but despite that, I always choose to join D or E ranked dungeons where I constantly met you, Jeongyeon.” She spoke as she looked at the twilight sky.
Jeongyeon remembered those times where Ju-hee would always heal her injuries. “I kept healing the injuries that never stopped appearing on you and if I have to be honest, healing you every single time became pretty annoying.” She laughed as Jeongyeon just sheepishly rubbed her nape. “I thought you were pretty reckless and stupid at times but… you always managed to survive. Those eyes of yours were always brimming with life, whenever I look at them, it's like they were screaming for survival… for tomorrow.”
“Really?” Jeongyeon asked, blinking curiously at Ju-hee who smiled and nodded at her.
“Really, but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to have those eyes that you have.” Ju-hee answers, as she pulled something out of her skirt’s pocket and it was a crystal. “You promised that we’d eat together when we came back alive, remember? I’m going to have to return this though…” she handed the crystal to Jeongyeon who took it as she looked at Ju-hee in surprise.
“Ju-hee unnie, are you—?!” before Jeongyeon could finish her sentence, Ju-hee nodded.
“Yeah, I’m retiring.” Ju-hee answered. “I’m going to head back to my hometown in Busan so if you’re gonna visit, tell me, okay? I’ll buy you some fresh sashimi.” She told her.
Jeongyeon laughs. “Sure, I’ll remember that, unnie.” She told her.
“Oh!” Ju-hee blinks. “And bring that guy you always talked to me about, Y/n was his name? Bring him so I can meet the guy who made my junior crazy in love ever since she was a kid!” she grinned teasingly.
Jeongyeon blushed but laughs. “I will!” she told Ju-hee as they said farewell to each other.
I just got another reason to become stronger and that’s because the S ranking Hunter, Huang Dong-su is going to try and kill me. I need to get stronger fast.

It was almost late at night when Jeongyeon reaches back home. She was disappointed when she had to waste a day not being with Y/n and tomorrow, she had to go to another raid with Jin-ho because of the contract. Once, she reaches the door to her home, she opens it and takes off her shoes.
“I’m home.” Jeongyeon announces. “Jin-ah!”
“Unnie, welcome back!” Jin-ah beamed as she came out from the kitchen. “You’re just in time for dinner!”
“Dinner?” Jeongyeon blinks because she would be the one to either bring home dinner or cook instant ramen. “You know how to cook?” she asked.
Jin-ah frowned. “I’m going to try and not get offended by that.” She told her sister. “Y/n oppa came and cook dinner for us!”
Jeongyeon blinks widely when she heard his name. “Y/n oppa is here?” she asked.
“Yep.” Y/n grinned as he came out from the kitchen. “I thought I’d cook us some beef stew for dinner and welcome back, Jeongyeon-ah.” He smiled.
Jeongyeon smiled. “Yeah, I’m back.” She nodded.
Jin-ah looked between her and Y/n. Can you guys not have a moment where your eye-undressing and eye-making-out with each other? She thought to herself as she coughs in second embarrassment. “Uh, can we eat now? Hungry person over here.” She waved her hand.
“Right.” Jeongyeon bit her lip in embarrassment as Y/n sighed and pushed his hair back in embarrassment as well. “I’ll go get the dishes.”
“I’ll prepare the food.” Y/n said.
Jin-ah rolled her eyes at the two supposedly but not yet lovebirds. She helped her sister preparing the table as all three of them sat down and ate dinner together. Jin-ah would often ask what her sister did today during the dungeon raids while Jeongyeon vaguely answers it by saying that she just helped clearing them while making sure she leaves out any information that she killed a person today. Y/n asked if she needs a weapon for tomorrow and Jeongyeon assured that she’s fine with the dagger that she has.
Once, dinner finishes, they all decided to watch a movie together and it was Jin-ah’s favorite which is Kung Fu Panda. Well, she liked all the movies but the first was a childhood favorite. The three of them were in the dark living room with the only source of light being from the TV screen.
“You seemed like you have a rough day.” Y/n whispered to Jeongyeon who laid her head on his shoulders. “Did something bad happened during the raid?” he askedher.
Jeongyeon smiled, Y/n could easily read her like an open book it seems. “Yeah, something like that.” She answered, “but it all worked out in the end so it’s nothing to worry about.”
“Hey,” Y/n leaned against her head before kissing the crown of it. “If there is something bothering you. You know I’m always here to lend you an ear and a shoulder.” He told her.
“Thank you, oppa.” Jeongyeon closed her eyes happily.
“If you ever have some free time.” Y/n slowly interlocked their hands together. “Tell me and I’ll take you out on a date.” He smiled.
“A date?” Jeongyeon repeated in disbelief as she looks at him.
“Yeah,” Y/n answered. “I thought that maybe we should properly establish this thing we got going on in the past few days already unless you want it to be casual? I’d do anything if it means you’re comfortable with it.” He told her.
“I’d like it if we properly establish whatever we have going on.” Jeongyeon answered without a second thought.
Y/n smiled in relief before kissing her forehead as they returned to watching the Kung Fu Panda movie with Jin-ah always gushing about Tai-lung whenever he’s on screen.
(a/n: just a few days ago, a guy friend asked me if we could watch Deadpool and Wolverine together and ofc ever since I was a kid I have always been a Wolverine girlie so ofc seeing Hugh Jackman’s abs made my inner childhood cry in happiness duh)
