The Singaporean skyline stretched out before us, a dazzling array of towering skyscrapers and sleek glass buildings that seemed to touch the clouds.

The majestic Marina Bay Sands rose like a giant, its three towers gleaming in the sunlight.

The ArtScience Museum's lotus-inspired design shone like a beacon, its petals unfolding towards the sky. The city's bustling streets were a tapestry of sound and color, with neon lights flashing from the shopping malls and restaurants along Orchard Road.

I took a sip of my Coke, gazing out at the breathtaking view from the balcony of our newly rented apartment.

"Ah, I love this view!" I exclaimed feeling a sense of freedom and excitement wash over me.

The warm breeze carried the scent of street food and frangipani, mingling with the hum of traffic and the chatter of pedestrians.

Jerena and Ilivia, my girls, stood beside me, trying to persuade me again and again to join them for a party that night.

"You'll get even better views if you come to the party." Jerena said, winking at me.

Ilivia nodded in agreement. "No doubt, you'll miss out on the fun, Donna."

I hesitated, still unsure if I was ready to let loose and have fun. But with my friends by my side, I felt a spark of excitement ignite within me. Maybe, just maybe, this trip would be the escape I needed from my boring life back home.

"Guys, I haven't been invited," I reasoned again, trying to sound firm.

Ilivia gave me a cute pout, too cute to resist. "Come on, it's just a graduation party," she whined, making me smile.

I looked at them, taking my time to make a decision. Once I commit to something, I don't back down, even if it means facing danger. I've always been stubborn, and this was no exception.

Going to an uninvited graduation party didn't seem like a bad idea, especially with Jerena's suggestion to introduce me as her cousin sister.

"Fine! I'll come," I finally gave in, partly due to their constant requests and partly because I was feeling a thrill of excitement for unknown reasons. "What's the time again?"

Jerena and Ilivia cheered in unison, hugging me tightly and making me stumble backward. "Girls, I almost fell!" I exclaimed.

They released me instantly, grinning mischievously.
