"Isabella please stop whining I can't listen to another minute of this!" my mom mutters out with that annoyed tone she gets. I roll my eyes and stomp back to my room, slamming the door shut behind me. Today is the day that we move all our belongings to the new house, I've had to pack up all my things and say goodbye to my childhood home all in two weeks! Even though I have no friends here, and well.. no life at all, I still feel like apart of me will always be here. I've gotten used to the life my mom and I have built, and I'm scared to enter a new school all alone. But I can't blame my mom, she's raising me alone and the house in Rome will be much cheaper since her friend got her a deal. After a few hours of sulking in my room, I got up and changed into my comfy clothes before laying in my bed and drifting off to sleep.

The next morning

"ISABELLA GET UP!!" my mom screams a foot away from my bed. "Alright alright I'm up" I quickly said before sitting up, "When are the movers going to be done by?" I asked looking down at my feet. "They've already started, we have about one hour to be out of here, I need your help with directions to the house so please get dressed." she replies before practically sprinting out of my room. My mom has had to be very organized and together all my life, I know it's been hard for her after my dad left so I really do try my best to help out. I get dressed and tie my hair up before grabbing my school bag I've filled with clothes and heading down the stairs, I see my mom walking outside to the car and follow her. "Honey here is the address put it in your phone and direct me alright? The movers are about finished and we have to be there on time." I get the address from her and see start heading there. On the way I notice the difference in scenery, of course I had visited Rome before but it's truly a strange feeling to know this is going to be my home. My mother always warned me about certain dangers in the city, my auntie had gone missing while out in the city with her friends when they were younger.. to this day nobody knows where she is, I think maybe that's why I have been skeptical of friends and who I trust. After a few minutes of day dreaming I realize we're here, I'll be honest the house isn't the nicest but it's definitely suitable enough. My mom and I unpack the car and the movers take a few hours to bring everything in and set all the furniture in place, but before I know it everything's done and I feel a sense of relief. I changed, laid down on my bed and I hear a light knock "come in" I shout. "Hey honey, I just wanted to remind you your first day of school is tomorrow. Set your alarm for 7:00 AM and I will be driving you." my mom says suddenly calm. "Yes mom, I know. Goodnight love you." she replies a goodnight back and I fall asleep almost instantly.

I know this was a short and boring chapter, but it all gets better from here! Thanks for reading
