"You look like you're going to a skate park not a party." Georgie commented when I walked out the bathroom. I frowned and glanced down at my outfit.
"What's wrong with this?"
"What's not wrong with it?" Georgie asked, "here, try this on." It was a pretty one shoulder black dress. I took the dress, slung it over my shoulder and walked back in the bathroom.
"You're sure this isn't too dressy?" I asked, coming out the bathroom once again.
"No it's perfect. You look gorgeous." I grinned at her and returned the compliment.
Even though Hunter wasn't happy with the idea of me going to a party, I argued that this is what I'm meant to experience and so on. It shut him up but I could tell he wasn't happy.
"I think I'm going to test the water." I stated. Georgie looked at me and frowned, confused.
"I mean I'm going to see how it is and if I don't like it I'll go home."
"It's up to you Aubrey, I'm happy that you're going to try it. If you don't like it give me a heads up and I'll take you home." Georgie said.
"No, no it's fine I'll get a cab. You can stay and enjoy it. Don't let me ruin it because it's not my cup of tea, okay?"
"You sound like such an old lady, 'not my cup of tea'." She mimicked. I shoved her shoulder but laughed along with her.
"Seriously though, don't worry about me." I said, she nodded and mock saluted but still looked uncertain.
Jen was stood by the front door and as she saw Georgie and I approaching she squealed and ran over to us, giving us both a hug. She smelt like alcohol.
"Hey Jen." I laughed. She gave a goofy wave and grin.
"Come let me take you to my lair!" She shouted grabbing one of our hands and dragging us inside. I looked over at Georgie who just shrugged and smirked.
Half an hour into the party and I was bored. Georgie had gone of to dance with Lewis, who smirked at me and took my best friend away. I had always hated him.
"Bored already?" A voice asked. A body leaned against the kitchen side next to me. I looked up to see who it was. Jack. He was a popular.
"What makes you say that?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"You're stood alone in a kitchen full of booze with a diet coke in your hand." He said. I laughed.
"Oh yeah." I said. He chuckled.
"So you want to have some fun?" He asked, leaning in closely. I shook my head.
"I was just about to leave actually, someones waiting for me." I lied. I pushed myself of the counter and walked out the room, pulling out my phone to ring Hunter.
"Hello?" I was relieved he picked up.
"Do you fancy picking me up from this god awful party?" I asked hopeful.
He chuckled, "I'm on my way. Text me the address." I hung up and did what he asked, while texting Georgie that I'm going home.
Hunter parked down the street so that nobody recognized him.
"That bad?" He asked as I climbed in the passenger seat.
"How'd you guess?" I asked sarcastically.
"When you described the party as 'god awful' it gave it away." He chuckled. I put my seat belt on and faced Hunter, he had a plain white t-shirt on with a pair of grey jogging bottoms.
