Chapter 7: Some awful news

Time: 2:15 pm

Location: Mother ship

N and Adam walked up F's room and knocked on her door F opened it. N and Adam just stood there awkwardly till N broke the silence "h-hi I'm N" he said. F Frowned "*sigh* your the guy that E mentioned aye? Listen I know that we were friends but I'm not the same F you knew"

"Wait F-" F stopped Adam, "I keep on telling you three I'm not your old friend! Ugh whatever you have to say, Save it, I'm tired of hearing it!" There was a moment of awkwardness as the three stood there for a moment

Then a transmission came through to N and F, it said "all disassembly drones please go to social room for an important announcement. This is mandatory." N dragged Adam as N, F and Adam walked towards the social room.

The three walked past E's room as E walked out, E looked awful, his hair was a mess, lines were visibly below his eyes and his posture was off. Walking to the social room was even more awkward with E and F due to the incident.

The four arrived at the social room and were told to sit down, F went off and sat with her squad which she had seemed to have spent more time with recently. Adam, N and E sat on their own

Once all the disassembly drones were seated a video began to play on the screen.

The video began with a message saying that this is not for the public.

Then the video cut to Tessa "my disassembly drones today is a tragic day. I don't know if you have heard this but, today at 1:30 mother ship time, the exoplanet copper-9 had its core exploded which killed all 1 billion people on the planet. " Everyone was shocked, '1 billion just died!? in an instant!?'

"The exoplanet copper-9 was a mining planet, which of course had thousands of workers. While the explosion may have wiped all organic life, it did not kill any of the worker drones who are now roaming the planet freely. Of course we have classed the workers as rouges but there's more, we believe that the rouges but there is more, we believe that the rouges were the ones who triggered this explosion with the intent of killing all humans. This is an act of terrorism and every rogue on that planet is a terrorist. So of course we will be sending you all down there in a month, this will be your biggest mission yet as all squads will be going due to this encompassing an entire planet. That is all for now, please be mindful towards the human crew, most of them knew people on copper-9 and are going through mourning".

After hearing all of this there was some mixed reaction from the drones.

Some drones like N, E, F and P felt sympathy towards the humans. Most the drones like J, L K and H were enraged by this and were ready to go to copper-9 and kill all those terrorists. V pretended to be angry, but in actuality she didn't care about the humans and was just excited to spend what could be years murdering drones.

While N and Adam made it their job for the rest of the day consoling the humans which is why N was the quite favorable drone to them as this made up for him literally having the worst kill count. While Adam was just building up his reputation of a nice guy on the ship.

7 hours later...

Time: 9:15 pm

Adam and N decided to split up since Adam still had a person on his list while N was done, So N just went to the waiting rooms for some odd reason, While Adam went to Tessa's office since the list that N gave him also had Tessa on it, who recently lost the rest of her friends on copper-9 cause of the core explosion. And Adam reaches her office and knocks on it 

"Hello? Tessa?" Adam says in a concerning voice but got no response so he knocked again, but still got no response

Then he leaned his head to the door to hear someone sobbing?
