Dahyun had woken up early today, hoping to finally spend some quality time with her favourite unnie, Momo, something they haven't done in awhile. Truth be told, lately Momo has seemingly been growing distant from the younger one as she spends most of her time with Sana. Sana... the pretty Japanese girl Momo met a few years ago. Her and Momo have become close friends, maybe too close for Dahyun's liking, but nevertheless, she tried not to care too much because she can't have Momo all to herself forever, right?

Ever since Momo had introduced Sana to her, the three of them became an inseparable trio. They did absolutely everything together. Dahyun, Momo and Sana. The inseparable trio. Their bond altogether was tight, unbreakable, where ever one went, the other two went with them. No one was left out. Well at least for the first year into their friendship. It wasn't exactly Dahyun's fault or Sana and Momo's fault.

It all began when the new year had started, the year or 2022, marking the seven years of her and Momo's friendship, and the first year of her and Sana's friendship. Unexpectedly, for the most part of this year Dahyun got really busy due to one of her family relatives falling ill, causing her to be travelling back and forth from the university campus and her hometown which wasn't too far, but still took away her free time. As she grew busy with keeping up with school work and visiting her sick relative, she naturally had less time to hang out with her friends.

However, for the times she wasn't busy with her family and schoolwork, she would ask Momo if she wanted to hang out but she almost always already had plans with Sana. To be fair, Momo and Sana did make an attempt to invite her to their hangouts whenever she was available and at first Dahyun accepted the offer with joy as she would be hanging out with her favourite people again, but as time went on she began to feel left out as Momo and Sana had hung out a lot more with just the two of them while she was busy with personal things. Whenever she hung out with the two Japanese girls, she felt out of place. Sana and Momo suddenly had many inside jokes and shared memories of being together that Dahyun was not a part of due to her absence. The times Dahyun went to hangout with them was so painfully awkward for her that she often ended up feeling like a third wheel, so ever since she has been declining any offer of hanging out with the two again.

The bond between Sana and Momo was beginning to feel stronger than the bond between Momo and her, and it hurt Dahyun deeply. Dahyun met Momo before Sana and spent more time with her in the past eight years than Sana has spent with Momo in the last three years. Surely her bond with Momo would be stronger than the bond Momo shares with Sana, right? But then why does she look at Sana differently than she had ever looked at her in the past eight years of their relationship? Why does Momo look at Sana like she's the only star that shines brightly in the night sky? Why does she give her all the attention in the world when it's not even her who's talking?

The little looks and gestures of attraction and admiration was something Dahyun had noticed when she started hanging out with the two again. She noticed how Momo got lost in mesmerization whenever Sana was around and how she no longer paid much attention to what she was saying as all her focus was on the other girl. It broke Dahyun's heart into a million little pieces like shattered China glass whenever she watched her unnies flirt with each other right in front of her, ultimately forgetting about her presence. The worst part was that the two were considered her best friends, so it hurt her even more that she was being forgotten by the people most important to her, and it especially pained her that her favourite person and the one she secretly loved with her whole heart seemed to forget that she still existed.

The two of them were always together and there was nothing Dahyun could do about it. She tried many times to get Momo's attention but she would say she's busy with something or hanging out with Sana. When it comes to Momo it's always "Sana this", "Sana that" but never "Of course Dahyunnie, I'll try my best to make plans with you later or another time" or "I'll see if I can cancel my plans to hang out with you instead, my Dahyunnie" like how it used to be. Dahyun could no longer spend time with Momo because of this. She went from spending almost every day of the week with her unnie to occasionally speaking to Momo as if they were total strangers. She was envious of Sana for taking up all of Momo's time and attention leaving her with nothing but stolen glances and empty promises to hopefully hang out another time.
