Shubman parked his car out of the school parking lot. He stood in front of the gate. Currently his journey brought him to Jharkhand.
After asking from his few contacts, he found out that Ishan's mother shifted to Ranchi in her hometown with Ishan.
He walked through the security and told them about his appointment with the principal of the school. The security after making sure everything finally let him enter.
Shubman walked straight to the Principal cabin. She looked at him in suprise. Shubman give her a small smile with a nod.
"Good Afternoon Mrs.Diya. It' nice to meet you..."
"Good Afternoon, Office Gill. I was quite surprised when you contacted our school to talk with me."
Shubman smiled simply and took out a picture of 14 year old kid in uniform of the school of her. Her eyes got wide when she recognised the kid in the picture.
"Ishan....."
"You remember him..?"
Shubman asked because it's been ten years since she would have seen Ishan. She chuckled at Shubman's question and replied.
"Who wouldn't remember him, he was the most sweetest kid of our school. His mother was teacher in our school. He used to stay after school for long hours but never complained. He used to help around. He was academically was bright student but...."
Shubman heard her sincerely. Her every words felt genuine. It's hard for Shubman to understand that young Ishan with all the trauma giving his best.
"But?"
"He despite cricket. There was the only time he behaves weird when someone from his class forced him to held bat. Ishan ran away from there."
Shubman could see why Ishan hatred for cricket came from. The bat always kept him reminding the torture of his father and his fight to save his mother.
"Thanks for sharing his childhood to me. Mrs. Diya, I'm very thankful of you."
"I forgot to ask but why are you asking about Ishan's childhood...."
Shubman eyes felt but glistening. It's feel unreal when someone ask him the question with a WHY?
"I am his lover. He died weeks ago. I'm just trying to store as much memory as I can...."
She gasped when she heard about Ishan departure. Shubman looked at her and felt bad for sharing this to her. Her eyes were filled with tears.
"I've lost my another son too....now...."
"Another son...?"
Shubman asked while handing over her water. She nodded her head and looked towards the wall at her left. Shubman looked towards the way she was looking. It was a picture of a boy in late teens. The garland was hung around that boy frame.
"My son Sahil was killed ten-year ago. Someone killed him brutally and no one ever knew who did it.... After he passed away.... Ishan became like son to me. I run this school in memory of my son."
"I'm really sorry to make you remember all this."
"It's okay Officer Gill. You are suffering too. You must have love him a lot....."
Shubman could only nods his head because that was his biggest truth. His eyes never step back in announcing that he loved him even when he took his last breath.
After saying goodbye to Mrs. Diya, Shubman found himself in the near park. He rested himself on the bench and looked around. The place was really peaceful and quiet.
