Walker often played on his computer for fun, playing Fortnite and any other games he found entertaining.

But sometimes he got too absorbed by the game, ignoring everything around him, and today was one of those days. He clicked on the mouth and his key board aggressively, his brows furrowed as he completely ignored you.

Sure he acknowledged what you where saying with a few hums and nods, but none of what you where saying was going through his head, he was too focused on the game. Leah stood in front of Walker's bedroom door, watching as he sat in front of his video game with his headphones on, completely absorbed in his game. She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm her racing heart, then knocked on the door. "Walker?" she called out, her voice shaky. "Can I talk to you for a second?" "Soon.. Soon.."

He muttered as he continued to play the game as if it were the world championships. He muttered a string of curse words when he lost, but he quickly jumped into the next game without skipping a heart beat. He didn't even turn his head to look at her, a mumbled "yeah" the only acknowledgement that he had even

heard her. Leah opened the door and walked over to his desk, standing awkwardly nearby as he continued playing his game. He hit a few buttons on his controller, seemingly oblivious to her presence. "Walker," she repeated, her voice firmer this time. "I need to talk to you." This time, he finally paused his game and glanced up at her, his expression annoyed. "What?"Leah felt her heart sink. Here she was, having

walked for twenty minutes just to see him, and he was acting like she was interrupting his precious game. "I walked all the way here to talk to you," she said, her voice shaky. "Can you just give me a few minutes?"Walker rolled his eyes and grumbled, but reluctantly paused his game and took off his headphones. "Fine," he said sullenly. "What do you want?"Her mind kept wandering to the other couples

she knew. They seemed to spend all their time together, always sending pictures having fun, chatting... And here she was, invisible to her own boyfriend while she sat less than a foot from him. Leah's mouth dropped. Was he being serious right now? "You're not going to turn this around on me! I've been sitting here while you just play your game and ignore me! I just want some attention."Walker slumped back further into the couch, now frustrated himself. "What do you want me to say? I was just really into the game! Is it a crime to be focused on something

besides you for an hour? I'm not your servant, you know."Leah's brown face went beet red at being accused of thinking of him as a "servant." "I would hardly call leaving me here for two hours 'focusing on something else for an hour!'" she exclaimed incredulously, crossing her arms in frustration. "And I'm not expecting you to wait on me hand and foot! But I just want some time with you, where you're actually focused on me! Is that really too much to ask?"Walker clenched his jaw, struggling for a good way to respond. "I just... Look, sometimes I like to lose myself in a game, okay? Is that really so bad? I don't
