Helena's POV
I was sitting in our living room with my phone placed on my ear. I was on the phone with Toni
"Toni listen to me and stop blabbering of your stressful work yesterday" i snapped
"Hmmm okay. What is it you wanted to tell me? " she asked and i giggled
"Well, in the process of getting your a*s to come over to the restaurant. I met an old friend, guess who? " i teased and i could discern from the phone that she frowned. I know how much she so much hates guesses
"I know it's Oscar" she hummed and i was caught off guard. Yep, wasn't expecting that at all
"You.... You already know? " i asked suspiciously. She hesitated before breaking into an awkward laugh which muddled me.
"Of course Helena, he called me to inform me that he was back to London. Remember he was also my friend back then in school" she said and i exhaled in relief. She almost scared me
"That's okay. He actually asked me out for dinner tonight" i rolled my eyes and she began laughing again, agitating me even more
"Sorry Helena, i just can't help it. I mean after all these years he still loves you, i'm really happy for you girl" she jabbered weirdly
"Toni are you even listening to yourself right now?" i solemnly asked "I'm not going to meet him because i'm a married woman". I could hear her sigh through the phone in annoyance
" Helena can you for once stop talking about this marriage of yours? " she blunted "Helena this is your chance to divorce George and finally be with the man that you have always loved. That you still love! Think about your happiness for once" she suggested and i literally lost my tongue. After cogitating a little, i ended the call. Just then George walked in and i gaped
"Oh No! did he hear my conversation? "
"Helena please hear me out, i'm really sorry for what i said the other night. I swear i didn't mean to blurt out like that, please forgive me" he pleaded ruefully in remorse. I rolled my eyes in relief, not because of what he said but at least because he didn't eavesdrop on my conversation with Toni
"It's fine George, am over it already" i got up but he held me back tenderly
"But Helena, i can discern that you're still angry with me" he said and i seethed
"Angry? " i glowered "George i have been furious with you the very day i unwillingly wore that white gown and you on your black suit, together we walked into the church with no atom of love just to begin a game that will soon end". I stormed off without bothering to look back. That was the worst day in my entire life
Why is he asking such a question when the answer is right in front of him glaring at the both of us and gagging us so as not to say it out loud but keep carrying it in her hearts like an unbearable heavy load.

Toni's POV
I looked around me to make sure no one was watching as i made my call
"Look, if you're gonna do it.... then you do it right. You will get an advanced payment as well" i ended the call with a smirk on my face. Just a little more time, and those lost smiles will come crawling back to my face.

Helena's POV
I spotted Oscar scouring the whole bar impatiently on a well decorated table. I giggled shyly as i pranced towards him and his eyes glinted in happiness after seeing me. Why shouldn't i give him a chance when he's so intoxicated only by seeing me.
