A New Milestone

The morning started with a soft glow of sunlight streaming through the windows. Ariana woke up early, feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia. She quietly slipped out of bed, leaving Lando still asleep, and went to check on Rose. Opening the door to her nursery, Ariana found Rose awake, babbling happily to herself as she played with her stuffed animals.

"Good morning, my sweet girl," Ariana whispered, picking Rose up and cuddling her close. Rose giggled and snuggled into her mother's arms, her little hands reaching up to touch Ariana's face.

After a quick diaper change and a warm bottle of milk, Ariana brought Rose downstairs to the kitchen. She wanted to prepare a special breakfast for the day, something that they could all enjoy together. As she busied herself in the kitchen, Lando soon joined them, still looking a bit sleepy but smiling as he saw his two favorite people.

"Morning," he greeted, giving Ariana a quick kiss and then leaning down to give Rose a big, playful hug. "What's on the menu today?"

Ariana smiled. "I'm making pancakes! I thought it would be fun to start the day with something sweet."

Lando nodded in agreement and took over playing with Rose while Ariana cooked. The aroma of freshly made pancakes filled the kitchen, and soon the three of them were gathered around the table, enjoying a delicious breakfast. Rose happily munched on small pieces of pancake, while Ariana and Lando shared stories and laughter.

After breakfast, they decided to spend some time outdoors. The weather was beautiful, and the garden was in full bloom. They spread out a blanket on the grass and set up a small play area for Rose with her favorite toys. Lando and Ariana relaxed nearby, watching Rose explore her surroundings with curiosity.

As the day went on, Ariana noticed something different about Rose. She had been trying to crawl for weeks, and today, it seemed like she was ready to take it to the next level. With a determined look on her face, Rose pushed herself up onto her hands and knees, rocking back and forth.

"Lando, look!" Ariana exclaimed, her voice full of excitement.

Lando turned his attention to Rose just in time to see her take her first wobbly steps on her hands and knees. She crawled a few inches forward before tumbling onto her side, but the proud smile on her face was undeniable.

"She did it!" Lando cheered, reaching out to help Rose back onto her knees. "Our little girl is crawling!"

Ariana's heart swelled with pride and joy as she watched Rose try again, this time crawling a bit farther before stopping to look up at her parents with a big grin. It was a moment they had both been waiting for, and seeing Rose achieve this milestone filled them with so much happiness.

For the rest of the day, they encouraged Rose to keep practicing her newfound skill. Every time she crawled a little farther, they clapped and cheered, making her laugh and try even harder. It was a day full of love, support, and celebration.

As the evening approached, they decided to mark the occasion with a small family celebration. Ariana prepared a simple dinner, and they ate together in the cozy dining room, reflecting on the day and how much Rose had grown.

After dinner, they brought out a small cake—just big enough for the three of them. Lando held Rose in his arms as Ariana lit a single candle on the cake. They sang a sweet, impromptu song for Rose, who looked at the flickering candle with wide eyes.

"Here's to our little crawler," Lando said with a smile, helping Rose blow out the candle. They shared the cake, laughing and talking about how quickly time was passing.

As they got Rose ready for bed, Ariana and Lando couldn't stop talking about the day. It had been a simple day, but one filled with milestones and memories that they knew they would cherish forever.

After tucking Rose in, Ariana and Lando sat together on the couch, holding hands and reflecting on their journey as parents. "It's amazing how much she's grown," Ariana said softly, leaning her head on Lando's shoulder.

Lando nodded, his voice full of warmth. "She's growing up so fast, but I'm so grateful that we get to be here for every moment. Watching her take those first steps today...it's just the beginning."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, both lost in their thoughts about the future and the adventures that awaited their little family.
