This was the moment of my life that I had been eagerly waiting for since childhood. I am completely ready in my room in a red bridal attire, just waiting for Vikram to come and take me so that I can bid farewell to this house quickly.

The anticipation and excitement are overwhelming as I stand here, adorned in traditional attire, my heart racing with a mixture of nervousness and joy. Every moment feels like an eternity as I wait for Vikram's arrival, the one who holds the key to my new beginning.

This home may not have given me the love of parents, but my chacha ji and siblings have showered me with immense affection. My chachi ji never treated me like her daughter, but my chacha ji have been my pillars of support, giving me the love and care of a father.

It is because of them that today I am on the verge of marrying my beloved Vikram, feeling a mix of happiness and fear. Will everything turn out well? Will everything be alright? These thoughts fill my heart with both joy and trepidation as I step into this new phase of my life.

I don't know why my heart is feeling restless; I hope nothing wrong will happen, right? No, nothing like that can happen. I assure my mind that everything will be fine. I wear my bangles and put a bindi on my forehead.

My friend Vihika places the red chunri on my head that Vikram gave me, saying to wear it this and then come to the mandap.

As soon as I was getting ready and about to step out of the room, I heard Meera's scream. She came running to me, crying.

"What happened, Meera? Why are you crying?" I asked Meera. She was taking deep breaths. Vihika made her drink water and made her sit on the bed.

"Ke baat hai meera kuch bol, I asked continuously but she didn't said a word, maara jee betha jaa raha hai meera kuch toh bol, I again asked to her but she didn't replied."

"She handed me a letter."

As I hurriedly tore and open the letter, my hands trembled with anticipation. With each word I read, my heart felt like it was being torn apart, shattered into a million fragments.
