Ramshackle was illuminated by the beautiful moon rising signifying that the Sun had already set. Two young scraps, Skipp and Stone, were still awake at this late hour. See, these two scraps had formed a plan to stargaze under the glowing moon at exactly midnight. Or, at least what they assumed to be midnight.

Skipp, the smaller boy, huddled close to Stone's tall frame. He had a need for affection, especially at the late night.

The sky was littered with small stars, forming constellations or standing alone. The stars illuminated the sky just as well as the moon. The sky was a beautiful inky purple color. Each star added to how lovely the sight was. This night was perfect, maybe not to most, but it definitely was to the two scraps.

As Vinnie deeply slept, Skipp and Stone remained awake and ready to gaze at the beautiful stars.

"Ready?" Skipp spoke up in his normal cheery tone. Stone nodded in response. Whenever Stone had still lived with his family, he was taught the constellations. He still knew them by heart. Of course, he was no longer in that Hell, but he still had the memories remaining, some great, some not so great.

The two's eyes grazed the sky, taking in each detail. Tonight, it seemed like each star was shining and visible.

It didn't take long for Stone to begin pointing out constellations. Skipp's eyes lightened up at each star he saw. He knew next to nothing about stars, yet he was still interested. He leaned onto the other boy, despite Stone's protests.

"Do you see anything?" Skipp questioned. "Yes, actually. That is the Ursa Major." he pointed to the upper west. With each constellation Stone had spotted, Skipp would always smile brightly. How adorable...

Stone quickly pushed away those thoughts. His true admiration for Skipp could never be revealed. Or, maybe it could. Of course, Stone wouldn't confess out of fear of rejection, but what if he did...? Should he? These thoughts ran through Stone's mind.

Stone was fighting himself to not reveal how much he liked Skipp to him, but of course he was struggling greatly. He wasn't even paying attention to the stars at this point. His gaze was fixated on the smaller boy.

"Stone?" Skipp spoke up. The other male immediately flinched, not expecting his thoughts to be interrupted. "Are you okay?" he questioned once again. Stone nodded, his gaze drifting away from Skipp and back to the stars. "Yeah, I'm fine." he spoke up, his thick Irish accent shining through.

This was it. He couldn't hold it back any longer. He had to tell Skipp how he truly felt. "Hey." the scrap spoke up, ready for the worst. "Hm?" Skipp looked up at the boy. "What's up?" his tone of voice was as joyful as usual. "I just wanted to tell you...I think I like you..." his voice was very quiet at the last part, yet Skipp still heard it. His face flushed crimson red. "Really?" his eyes lit up again. Stone nodded.

Immediately, Skipp threw his arms around Stone. "I...like you too!" he spoke up excitedly. Stone's eyes widened, clearly expecting rejection. He pulled Skipp closer to his body. "That's good." you could see the slightest hint of a smile playing on Stone's lips.

Without thinking, Stone quickly pressed a kiss to Skipp's forehead. Realizing what he did, his pale face flushed a deep red. "I'm sorry-" he was cut off by Skipp hugging him tighter. "Don't apologize. It's all good!" he spoke up, also blushing deeply.

"Well, shall we continue stargazing?" Stone offered. Skipp nodded. As Skipp laid in Stone's arms, the two looked at the stars in admiration for them and each other.
