Zara POV

"Great win yall! This is what I'm talking about. The effort and energy leading up the chip tomorrow. Rest up and I'll see you tomorrow. Maya I need to speak with you." Coach Brian ended his end of game speech and we did our end chant. I left to talk to my fav teammate, Tori. 
"Hey pooks" I said to Tori who was taking off her shoes. Her face lit up.
"Heyy. You played really good today" she said as she sat next to me
"Thanks you too. Honestly we got it for the chip tmrw! Just need to stay focus no distractions" as I said that Tori rolled her eyes.
"What?!? Im serious!"
"Girl it takes one person to make you shift focus and you know this" once she said this Maya walked by to pick up her bag. I turned my head. Although Tori was right I couldn't let ha think that.
"Girl no. You know the rules. No dating on the team plus me and Maya are friends. I wouldn't even attempt that." She laughed. I just rolled my eyes in response.
"You know she had a thing for you last year." Tori whispered in my ear. It kinda sent chills down my back.
"Hey yall!" Maya gathered the team as everybody formed a circle. "So coach gave us our room keys everybody has a roommate. Regardless if you like it or not. He left me in charge while he handles some business after he drops up off at the hotel. So listen for your name." I hope I room with Tori that's the only person I liked fr fr on the team.
"Jordan and Jp. Jess and Dior. Tori and Kayla. Alyssa and Kayla p. Me and Zara." WHAT TF. Not only am I not rooming with Tori.. I gotta room with Maya. Fuck bro.
   As I grabbed my stuff to head to the car Tori pulled me by the hair. "BITC-"
"Girl you roomin with mayaaaa" she said in a teasing tone.
"Yea yea yea. Ain't shii finna happen. I'm locked in. She don't like me and ion like her." Tori laughed and pushed me off.
                        Time skip 9:30Pm
                              (Hotel Inn)
"Alright y'all I see yall tomorrow. Make sure everybody in the room cause yk how coach is.goodnight yall." Maya and I waved our teammates off while everybody went in there separate rooms. As me and Maya went to our room it was silence. The room was nice two beds, clean bathroom yk the run down of a hotel
Room.
"So... uhh which bed you want." I asked trying to break the silence.
"It don't matter" I HATE WHEN MFS DO THAT I DONT KNOWWW.
"Okay.." I picked the one closest to the window as I put my stuff on it and started taking off my shoes. I tried to find my bonnet and scarf and wrapped my hair up. I grabbed all my hygiene stuff (clothes, cat soap, regular soap, lotions, toothbrush, etc.) and walked to the bathroom.
"I'm finna take a shower" Maya nodded her head as she was on the floor with her phone.
         (Time skip to after my shower and now Maya has been in the shower for 30mins)

Scrolling through TikTok I seen some tiktoks from the same tournament we was at. Made me laugh I got lost in the TikTok I didn't notice Maya coming out the shower. I looked up for a brief moment as she walked out. She had on a sports bra with sweat shorts. She carefully put her stuff away and turned around and look at me. She chuckled before she opened her mouth to speak.
"You going to stare at me the whole time I put my things away or?" I quickly looked away not realizing I was staring that hard.
"So... what you wanna do? You wanna go straight to sleep or?" I said trying to start conversation.
"Ngl nah I'm not even tired fr. But we can play a game or sum." I looked around to see what games we had but we had nothing.
"Okay so what game do you want to play?"
"Uhhh let's play truth or dare." She said I was kinda surprised because she don't seem like the type to play those games.
"Ok" I said as a giggles and sat up from my bed. I put my phone to the side as Maya came over and sat on my bed.
"Okay.. uh ig I'll go first... truth or dare" maya sat there for a second thinking of an answer to say
"Uhh truth" I rolled my eyes
"Boring! Anyways is it truth that... during the season you be doin drugs on the low?"
"Yes.. I like some weed bruh. Calming my nerves"
I laughed at her answer.
"Truth or dare?" I wanted to be bold but idk how it would go.. but fuck it
"Dare." She was shocked at my answer but I can tell she fw it.
"Mmm I dare you to..." she paused for a second before smiling.
"Ngl this game is kinda boring.. let's play a different version of it" maya said while I nodded slowly because I was confused.
"Let's play dare or strip." Dare or strip?????
"Umm what's that?" She laughed
