"Goh? Uh, hi there. This is going to sound kind of weird... but could you meet me in Paldea in two days? At the airport near Artazon? I know you're probably busy with Project Mew, but-" "Wait, wait." Goh stopped him. "Who is this?" Though, he already had an idea of who was on the call. "Oh yeah! This is Ash. Anyway, you're probably busy, but... I kind of need you here? So, um, come if you can." Goh was stunned.
"Wait, what? Wait a minute, you're in Paldea? How am I gonna even find you?" Ash ignored him. "You will, don't worry! Listen, I have to go, but I'll see you soon, um, hopefully!" "Ash, wait-"
But Ash had already hung up. Goh stared at his idle Rotom Phone in disbelief. Wait, that wasn't the right word. He could definitely believe that Ash would leave him the minimal amount of information, then hang up without providing any details. He groaned in frustration. "Ugh, Ash...why are you like this..." He sighed, rubbing his forehead. Gary, who had been listening to Goh's conversation when he heard his best friend's voice, studied him closely for a moment. "Not to mention I have Project Mew things to take care of, and-" "You should go." Gary said suddenly, interrupting Goh's string of anxious thoughts he was listing off to himself. "Wh- what?" "To see Ash. I know he doesn't exactly 'plan' things out like you would, but I do know that he really wants to see you." Goh hesitated. He did want to go, more than anything in the world. But he had responsibilities here...
"So you should go." Gary continued. "I'll talk to Quillon, cover for you, y'know? Besides, maybe you can drag him back here so we can see him more often." He pointed out wryly. Goh cracked a smile. "Who are you, and what have you done with Gary Oak? "Yeah, yeah." Gary waved him off. "Now get outta here before I change my mind. I'll see you later." Hе paused, then grinned. And if I'm right, it'll be both of you."
