A 'Small' Problem

It had already been a long day for all of them, or at least felt like it while they were stuck in the video game. They couldn't find any suitable armor in the starter village and had accepted the quest to 'defeat' Mammon so the armor vendor would help them out. Starry was kind enough to help Lucifer eat with his new pint size and they were headed to an inn for the night. Leviathan had only given them enough to get a single room that had a double bed. Solomon had suggested that Beel and Lucifer share one bed while he and Starry share the other. "Maybe it would be best if I slept with Starry. Knowing Beel he might roll over and crush me in his sleep." Lucifer argued as he stood in Starry's palm with his arms crossed. He was used to having a room to himself and didn't like the idea of being in such close proximity to Beel while he was so tiny.

Plus he didn't like the idea of Solomon getting to share a bed with Starry either. He wanted to be the one to sleep next to her and be held by her. "I don't think that's necessary Lucifer, I'm sure you'll be perfectly fine sleeping with Beel." Solomon chuckled with a smile and held his hand out to take the small demon from Starry. Starry pulled Lucifer to her chest and used her other hand to shield him. Solomon raised his eyebrow in confusion and tilted his head. "It's ok Solomon. If he gets hurt then I fail right? So I'd rather not risk it with Beel, I'd rather Lucifer sleep with me just in case. Sorry big guy, I know you wouldn't do it on purpose." Starry said with a soft smile as Beelzebub chuckled and nodded in understanding. Solomon's shoulders dropped slightly but his smile never waived as he lowered his hand and nodded. Lucifer had a small triumphant smile as she carried him over to the bed and carefully put him down. She reached down and gently poked him and giggled softly when he stumbled. He shot her a glare as she gave him a fanged smile. "Sorry. You're just too cute like this and it's hard to resist." She said with her tail wiggling softly behind her.

"Cute?" He asked with a slight scoff as he straightened himself and brushed off his clothing as if he were dusting himself off. He didn't really think it was an appropriate compliment for the situation but it did make his chest flutter. He was usually intimidating and frightening but now he was so small that he was adorable. "I suppose that would be the most fitting adjective for this current predicament." He sighed and shook his head as he started to pace around on the bed. He paused when he heard soft purring and looked up to see Starry watching him closely with her slit pupils dilating. Her tail was curling behind her and her ears were pointed up.. Uh oh.. he knew that look and had seen it on the cat's faces that Satan often played with. "Don't. You. Dare. Starry." He said sternly while pointing his finger up at her. "I am not going to be toyed with like some cat toy. You better calm yourself right now." He demanded in a harsh tone and narrowed his eyes as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Starry's ears lowered slightly as she blinked a few times before giving him a sheepish smile. "S-Sorry Lucifer.. but you can't pace around like that while you're itty bitty. It makes my instincts kick in." She explained even though the demon was already well aware and usually teased her about it. She heard Solomon and Beel both giggling on the other side of the room before Lucifer glared at them. Beel quickly went quiet but Solomon continued to smirk at the situation. "How about we just all get ready for bed, we've got a long day tomorrow," Starry suggests as the other three men agreed and they all started to get ready to go to sleep. The men decided to sleep in their shirts and boxers while Starry chose her tank top and underwear. Of course, the others had no complaints about that. Solomon turned the lights off and crawled into bed with Beel as Starry lay with Lucifer. His body easily fit on the pillow as she laid her head down next to him. "Goodnight Lucifer. If you get too cold then just come cuddle up with me and I'll keep you warm." She whispered softly and leaned forward to gently kiss his face even though her lips covered most of it.

Lucifer was grateful for the darkness because it hid the blush that crept across his face as her lips pressed against him. He could feel her hot breath and it made his heart race as her sweet scent filled his nose. He let out a quiet sigh as she pulled away and laid back down. He watched her as she settled down and closed her eyes. His eyes wandered over her form and he admired her smooth skin and the curve of her body. She was so beautiful and he loved every part of her. He lay there just watching her for a while and heard Beel start to snore in the other bed signaling his brother was asleep. Solomon was tossing and turning while Starry let out soft even breathes. Despite having the blankets pulled up he definitely felt cold since his body mass was a fraction of what it usually was and he couldn't produce as much body heat. He huffed quietly and decided that she did offer to share her warmth so he could use that to justify his decision. He carefully sat up and crawled off the pillow before moving to lay against her.
