I floated around aimlessly in the vast void, just normal teen activities.

This sucks. I open my eyes and yawn, stretching and picking up my ring as i got up from my dream. I got up and walked to my very large closet. "Hmmm" I looked at the variety of black jackets that was before me. "How about we spice it up today with very, very, very, very dark grey." I put on the very dark grey jacket and walked out of the room. I was greeted with the usual oddly dressed people, ranging from people wearing disco clothes to victorian clothing. I'm not gonna judge so moving on, I walked into the lobby and was greeted with the same bellhop I always see.
He smiled creepily "Heya! How is my VIP guest doing?!" Before I could answer he looked up abruptly, catching me off guard.
A moment of silence passed before I lightly tapped him. He slowly turned toward the entrance and stared silently for a while. I decided to just let him do his thing and walk around the familiar lobby. I started playing my favorite game, Pac-Man. I was suddenly bumped into by a tanned, olive skinned kid with disheveled black hair. The most notable feature of him was his sea-green eyes. He looked scared or nervous, I honestly can't tell. "What year is it!?" He asked while gripping my shoulders. I thought for a minute. And then another.
What year was it?
I remembered nothing. I stared at the kid before he moved on. I looked at my hand and then I looked around. For once I noticed that there was no windows, I saw the entrance door and saw the clouded doors. I walked towards the door until i was stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I turned and saw the bellhop. That damn bellhop with that cheesy smile.
"Is something the matter? Is the bed service not up to your code?" He asked while trying to drag me away from the entrance. I looked at the bellhop and then at the entrance. "I...I want to cancel my membership..." I told him while removing his hand from my shoulder. The bellhop looked at me shocked. I took this moment and ran towards the entrance, kicking down the door and stepping outside.
The sun blinded me as I stood in front of the resort. Everything was different, I picked up a newspaper and read through it. I dropped the paper not believing it.
Suddenly, three kids run out the hotel.
