I ran through town, Fiona had said that there was one person who knew so much that they locked themselves up, I ran to the gates of Northwest manor.
"Hey! I need to get in there!" I spoke to a man at the gate, he gave me a dirty look.
"Sorry High priest, Ms. Northwest isn't seeing anyone at the moment." He said, I huffed and looked around, I saw a small hole in the ground and ran to it. Looking around I made sure no one could see me, I then crawled through. I ran to the front door.
"High priest!" A blond woman said, "I-I..."
"Pacifica? I'm not the High priest! You have to trust me!" I had dirt on my hands, I knew that but I put my hands on the blond girl's shoulders anyway, "please.. tell me you trust me." She looked at me, she gave me a sad look.
"Yes. Only because the high priest would never touch me with dirty hands." She pushed me off, I smiled, only Pacifica would do that. After I washed my hands were sat in one of the many living rooms. "What do you need?" She asked kindly as she poured me tea.
"Mason. The high priest... me. I guess." She nodded, taking a sip of her tea, "I need to know his home life. Why did he turn his back on the people of Gravity Falls." The blond spat out her tea, she coughed as a servant handed her a napkin.
"Why come to me?" She asked, "I of all people shouldn't be talking.."
"Because a very nice nome told me you know what happened." She gave me a dumbfounded look, then started to laugh, I sighed again. "Look I know that sounded crazy, but.. Pacifica.. I need to know.." she gave me another sad look, then sat back closing her eyes, she crossed her legs and sighed.
"I never liked Mable, she was rude and snotty, and that's saying something." She started, "but I've always had a soft spot for Dipper, I had something hunt me when he first came here and he dealt with it." She smiled, "so I started to hang out with him, we had long talks in the forest and stayed late into the night at the park." She looked at me, "One night, he came to Northwest Manor all bloody and beaten. It took me five minutes to convince my dad to let him in." I didn't make contact with her, her blue eyes seemed sad, "That night, Mable had outted him as Bisexual or something, and Stan wasn't please by it. He didn't want a... what's the word that doesn't sound offensive? Umm... boy kisser living under his roof."
"But.. Stan would never.."
"This Stan did.." she said, "he beat the hell out of Dipper, trying to 'take the gay' out of him." She looked down, tears in her eyes, "I did everything I could to keep him safe, but.. it's hard when he had that book." She slammed her fist on the side table, "First it was Gideon then it was Dipper.. I told him summoning Bill wouldn't make it better." She started to cry, I moved from my chair to the couch and pulled her close, her blond hair fell in front of her eyes, she hugged me. "I told him I would let him stay here! I wouldn't let his family lay a hand on him ever again!" Her voice was breaking, "but weirdmageddon happened. After what he saw what he did, he asked Bill to stop.." she grabbed her chest, tears stained our shirts, "but they had a deal, I didn't know what it was, but Bill made Dipper do something.. something that caused everything to end.."
"The puzzle is still not adding up." I said, "Mable! What can you tell me about Mable!" I asked softly, Pacifica hiccuped, she moved her head up a bit.
"She's a devil." She spoke, "Mable will get whatever she wants when she wants." I froze, "she acts all sweet and innocent at first but she's worse than Bill half the time, at least Bill has the balls to admit when he is wrong."
"What did she do to this Dipper?" I asked, She sat up.
"Broke him, she put him into horrible situations that only he knew how to fix, but the blamed him for everything." She said, "one time, the town some how ended up in trouble by a weird beast or something, Dipper saved everyone, but Mable was the one that let that thing attack. She pointed to blame to Dipper and said she saved everyone." That's when it clicked, He wanted to be the hero, he wanted to show that he could save people, but also say that Bill wasn't a bad guy.
"I get it now, well kinda.. he still goes to you right?" Pacifica nodded, she started to stroke her hair a bit out of nerves.
"Yeah, I sometimes believe I'm the reason why he stopped everything." I looked at her, dumbfounded a bit, her face went red. "Look, if you can save him, then be my guest.. he's a really good friend and I care for him!" I saw her smile a bit.
"Ah I see." I smiled a bit, "my Pacifica kinda acts like you a bit, but she's rude." I stood up, "Thanks for the help." I started for the front door, I heard footsteps behind me and felt a soft hand grab mine. I stopped.
"If.. if you can't save him. Can't you please tell him I love him not matter what? If Bill corrupted his mind please tell him I love him." I smiled and nodded. She started to cry again, pulling me into a hug she sobbed. "Thank you.. if you need a place to stay I have a small cabin not to far from the Mystery Shack." She handed me a key, "Dipper and I would go there all the time." She smiled.
"Thank you, you're not half bad Pacifica." She smiled and bowed as I left the house. I looked at the key in my hand, I took in a deep breath and nodded. I was gonna try and save Dipper of this world.
