❛❛ 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐆𝐎𝐓 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝓐𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐘𝐀𝐇 ? ❞ liyah's mother asked through the facetime. her mother, camryn, sat inside of the car as she waited for her daughter to finish packing up her belongings. the two were moving back with liyah's step dad in harlem, and had to be at the airport in less than 30 minutes.
aaliyah been finished packing up her things, she just wanted to take one last look at the house she's been living in for the past four years. she was devastated that she had to go back to the town where she spent her worst years.
liyah prayed for two weeks straight for harlem to be different than how she experienced it when she was younger. getting away from there was definitely a great choice, even though harlem is where liyah is originally from, she felt like she didn't fit in there.
the main thing that irked her nerves the most was that she had literally no friends in harlem, and she was going to have to start her entire life over basically. aaliyah would be attending a different school since she's now in high school, but that meant anyone from her sixth grade year would be in high school with her.
