As a transfer student, Hera is in the process of adapting to her new life. It has been two weeks since she moved to this school. Hera is grateful to have the same classes as her friends Sehun and Jongin, who have been helping her adjust to the new environment. She now knows the school's layout much better and hasn't gotten lost since her first day. However, she recently ran into a man she had met before. She saw him chatting with friends in the canteen and decided to sit with her back to him and his friends. During their lunch, Sehun noticed that Hera was eating less than usual and asked about it, to which Hera replied that she was on a diet due to an upcoming race. Jongin, being excited, inquired about the race and expressed interest in attending as a supporter. Hera confirmed that the competition was in a week and thanked her friends for their support.
Baekhyun, who was talking with his friends, accidentally overheard a group of other children talking in front of him. Baekhyun is quite attentive. Sitting in front of him was a girl with pigtails, and her posture didn't feel strange to him. However, Baekhyun could only watch the girl from his seat. When Baekhyun and his friends finished their food, they left first. Baekhyun, curious about the girl sitting in front of him, tried to look at her as he was leaving the canteen. Unfortunately, the girl looked in another direction, so Baekhyun couldn't see her face.
"What's wrong, Hyun? Was there anything left on the table?" Kyungsoo asked him.
"No... Nothing," Baekhyun replied. Then, he and his friends walked back to their class. When Baekhyun arrived at class, he suddenly remembered. The back he had seen earlier in the canteen was very similar to the one he had seen two weeks ago on the school field. It was the girl who helped him when he sprained his leg. Baekhyun took a small breath. He felt unlucky to not have been able to greet the girl directly.
....
Just 5 minutes ago, Hera returned from the canteen with Sehun and Jongin. She received a call to go to the teacher's room.
The class president, who had just returned from the teacher's room to hand in class assignments, informed Hera, "Hera, Mr. Choi called you to the teacher's room."
Hera responded, "Oh, okay. Thank you."
She then hurried to the teacher's room, where Mr. Choi Woo shik, her class and sports teacher, greeted her, "Good afternoon, Hera. How are you? Have these two weeks been fun in the new surroundings?"
Hera replied, "Good afternoon, Mr. Choi. Of course, it's been fun. Because I also met my friends again here."
Mr. Choi then mentioned Hera's achievements, especially in running, and asked if she had prepared herself for an upcoming race.
Hera assured him, "Yes, sir. In 1 week, I have a sprints race. I've been training again since last weekend, sir."
Mr. Choi instructed her, "It's fine if it's like that. Every time you're going to compete, please report to me for my data."
Hera accepted, "Okay, Mr. Choi. I understand."
Mr. Choi then dismissed her, saying, "Okay. Please go back to class."
Hera thanked him, "Thank you, sir. I'll excuse myself."
Hera glanced at her watch. She still had 10 minutes before study time began. Feeling a little tired after talking to Mr. Choi, she decided to go to the canteen to buy snacks to lift her spirits. At the canteen, she only bought a box of strawberry milk, considering that she was still on a diet in preparation for the upcoming competition. On her way back to class, Hera felt the need to take a breather. She chose to sit in the park near the school field alone. As soon as she opened the milk box, she started drinking. But when she took her second sip, she was startled to see a man who had been on her mind for the past two weeks. Shocked, she spilled some of her milk.
